Hole

The heart can only take so many holes before it starts to crumble.

Choking on the pain you've caused
I find a hole within
That's filled with uncertainties
Caused by the confusion you've thrown me in

I can't seem to find a warmth
As the cold sets in my bones
I just want to find some rest
But the images won't leave me alone

I distract myself hoping it will go away
I tell myself all I need is time
Maybe it will all subside
One day I will be fine

Till then I sit alone
And wonder how much more I can bear
My heart can only take so much
How many more holes will you tear
