To Her Go

Apparently my brainstorming led me to: fighting within oneself, wanting love and split personality. That is how this poem was created.

"Why are we standing here,
in this shadow?
Is there something to hide;
something she must not know?"

"You know why we hide;
you know what I fear.
You know why we shed
this innocent tear."

"You fear she won't accept us.
You fear her heart will turn cold.
You fear she will turn away,
But her heart is gold."

"I know, I know, I know,
But I still fear
And still I hide
this innocent tear."

"You are a coward!
You're afraid of a woman!
Why don't you stand?
Why don't you stand upright like a man?"

"Alas, what you say is true.
I am a coward.
I must stand upright.
I must stand and to her march forward!"

"That's the spirit!
Now, to her go.
But the fact that we are two in one,
She needs not to know."

This is great. Do people really give each other little pep talks like this. I hope so, because I do when I have to. Sometimes that's what it takes to get the job done. Everyday I get up sometimes that's what it takes. Thanks for sharing.
