Fear's ControlA Poem by ebonpinionSeems our greatest enemy is ourselves when we let fear control us.Dreams of a voice being heard are slowly fading. Wishes of fulfillment are slowly ceasing.
My world is sinking deeper into darkness For my heart’s longing might die without its realization. Emotions are being suppressed. Freedom of thought and speech might never occur. The lights may never shine on me. Into the shadows my echo will sound. Fear has gripped me. Shyness has crippled me. With great dread I feel my wanted future has loosed me. Sadness slowly creeps in. Reality knocks on my door and says, “It’s all your fault that you are failing. Your future shall soon be dead, because you did nothing to secure it. Your future shall soon be dead, for you let fear control you”. © 2010 ebonpinionReviews
