I wish you were there

I wish you were there

A Poem by eatmills

It took me awhile to realize

That the smile was in your eyes

Swinging doors

Shades of red

Singing on the moors

Ring in my head

I wish you were there…

I can’t bear

The pain

Again

The fire burns

In the night I've taken too many turns

I wish you were there

Crimes of passion

Hit the heart

Infatuation,

Is doing its part

What you do to me

With your eyes

Can’t you realize?

I wish you were there

I can’t bear

The pain

Again

It’s going too fast

Today

Is already in the past

I say

Love me tomorrow

Not today

Keep me from my sorrow

I’ll pay

I wish you were there
