Didn't You Hear That?

Didn't You Hear That?

A Story by Janyce Helen Van Es

While Janyce relaxed in a bathtub of fragrant oils, she heard a grinding sound behind the ceramic tiles. The sound moved across the wall.

When her husband returned from work, she said, "There's  strange noises behind the bathtub wall. It sounds like an animal."

They both walked inside that room and waited to hear it again. Apparently it left.

In two more days, the grinding noise occurred. Janyce refused to take a bath and took sponge baths using the kitchen sink.

The next week, Janyce placed plates on the dining table and the chandelier began to shake. She heard a sliding noise across the ceiling. It frightened her so she called someone to examine the attic.

Her husband didn’t hear noise in the bathroom or see the chandelier move so he thought his wife imagined them. As they lay in bed, both heard the strange whiffing and sliding noises above their heads.

Two days later, the exterminator climbed down from the attic gripping an eight-foot Boa Constrictor, “Boy, he was well fed! There is rat dung everywhere but no rats.”

Believe it or not . . . but a 'but' would enhance this story tremendously.

Her husband didn't hear the noise in the bathroom or see the chandelier move, so he thought his wife imagined them. But, as they lay in bed, both heard the strange whiffing and sliding noises above their heads. He grabbed the phone and made the call.

Hope you find this helpful.

How in the world did a boa get up there? The good news is that your rat problem is no more!

Did this really happen? Cause oh my god i would die! I probably would have moved actually..
also, i would have loved to be a hippie. I've always said that if i could go back in time i'd go to '69 and go to Woodstock. that would be so cool

OMG! Don't tell me hubby got another bright idea! Lol! Your stories are too much! That bit about taking sponge baths in the kitchen sink made me die! May your resolve never crumble...
