Finishing Touches part one and twoA Story by Janyce Helen Van Escontest entryFinishing Touch
Part 1
Hound-dog and Weasel tugged carpet off of the strips around the perimeter of the room.
"You get the narrow end and start the rolling motion and while you do that, I'll mop up the blood. The hardwood floors will look better anyway," said Weasel.
"That ol’ gal must weigh two hundred pounds," whined Hound-Dog.
"You know I am in charge of all the finishing touches. Besides, you are much bigger and can handle that better than I can. After you drag her out of the room, I’ll replace the furniture."
Part 2
Hound-dog drove the truck to the lake where they dumped the body, wound up in carpet. When they finished, they rode to the Sonic Drive-in and ordered a couple of chocolate shakes.
"We looked everywhere and couldn’t find those security bonds," grumbled Weasel, while rummaging through possessions they robbed from the house. He picked up a framed photo of the woman’s deceased husband and the backing fell apart, dropping something to the floorboard.
