We Fought

We Fought

A Poem by Janyce Helen Van Es

We Fought

I used my knife

To cut, stab, slice and gouge

He grabbed his chest and cried out,

"Help Me!"

Nice.

Sorry, there is no one to help you, deal with it.

lmao. I love your writing style. Short and to the point. I want to learn how to say so much while using so little. You painted a scene and image there that would take me several paragraphs to do. Perfect!

Ooh! The violence hits quick and kind of stuns the senses. You have a knack of telling a story with few words; I guess it's safe to say that you won that fight! ;-)
