Great Gobs of Garbage

Great Gobs of Garbage

A Poem by Janyce Helen Van Es

My garbage can's over the top
My husband tore up the mop
The refrigerator door won't close
The washer won't clean my clothes

The maggots and flies are a treat
When I look for something to eat
The cat hair is driving me crazy
It piles up 'cause we're so lazy

My husband thinks I am a jerk

I can't get my buns up to work
But he doesn't want me to move out

I cook all his food, though I pout

So we go on day after day
Living in garbage this way
The pets live better than we-
eating and me cleaning their pee

LMAO!!!! You had a lot of fun writing this one and it shows from beginning to end. I'm still smiling about what you said about that picture. Guess its easy access for feeding and peeing or something...who knows? Love this piece...it's going in my favorites :)

Ok..That's three pieces. YOU have an innate sense of humor, but, and this is just my opinion, You waste it. You have so much talent at humor, but you seem to direct it towards pee, dingle berries, bowels. Please take this as a compliment with a suggestion. You are an insightful house wife. You HAVE to be insightful to be funny. Don't waste it on humor not worthy of your wit. I'm serious. I see great talent, but without direction. I'm not done reading. Love Rain..
