In the valley of liquor and rum

In the valley of liquor and rum

A Poem by Sincerely mine. Finally.

I saw the sky split in two

But I was to damn drunk from the party you threw

I went out every Friday night

And would run through the fields till the sun broke light

You saved me from a sinking ship

But I ran my mouth and shot from the hip

The things I do with my time

Oh how I wonder each and every night

When I go back to bed and turn off my light

And darkness encompasses

But I close my eyes and your all that I see

The choices ive made

Have led me astray

And the paths I took

Now fade in the gray

Im just a god in the eyes of insects

the first two lines and the final line were my favorites. i share a lot of the sentiment in this...reminds me of how the stupid s**t i do, the god i've made myself into, distracts me from what i really want. lovely poem.
