Ch 6: Ready, Set, ...

Ch 6: Ready, Set, ...

A Chapter by Liz-z

Jamie
Not a minute late, nor a minute early, when Aaron knocked on my door. "Why hello there," I said opening the door, leaning my and on it's edge. Since I was waring flats he bent down to kiss me on the check. He almost 5'9 and still growing while I was only 5'5 1/2.
"Hello Jamie, you ready?" Aaron smiled and took my hand letting one of them lose so I'd close the door. He wore a  blue woven shirt, with a single chest pocket, and short sleeves with button tab. It was if he swept me off my feet.
"Yeah," I smiled while he opened the door to his car, silver Chrysler 300 for his 16th birthday.
I watched him get in and turn the radio on. The song "Heaven Can Wait" by We the Kings was playing.  We both softly sang along to the music. I loved his voice, he had talent, unlike me. I couldn't sing to  save my life, but he didn't mind. In fact he loves listening to my voice, what a good and cute little lair.
Once the song ended an annoying muffling sound came up. Instead of changing the station like I thought he would he played his C-D. "Is that alright with you," One of 30 Seconds to Mars' songs where on, though I wasn't a big enough fan yet to tell which one.  I nodded my head in agreement.
"Which is this one again?"
"The Kill" he half smiled making a turn.
"Right," I said trying to block out the loud banging noise and concentrate on the lead singers voice.
Once we got to the parking we instantly found parking. He got out first and took my hand as we walked into the theater.

Aaron
"So I'm guessing we're going to watch that romantic comedy you've been wanting to see?" She surprised me by shaking her head no.
Instead she pointed to a horror film? I rose my eyebrow not sure whether I should really argue. "You sure you want to see that?" I asked.
"I feel like laughing" she shrugged, "Too scary for you?" She joked knowing I was an ultimate horror movie fan, from Dracula to Friday the 13th to Halloween 2.
"No, but what if you get scared." She then moved my hand and wrapped it around her arm.
"Then I'll have you to hold me," She smiled.
"I don't know, Jamie," I said again.
"Come on, even if I get scared tonight I won't be all alone," She half smiled while I sighed.
"O-Okay," I said taking her hand to get the tickets, still so unsure. While we waited for our turn I hugged her from behind and whispered in her ears, "Did I tell you today you look beautiful?" I watched her checks get red and smiled wide. Her bangs where straight unlike last year when it was pushed to the side. It gave you a better chance of gazing into her beautiful golden brown eyes. She wore a simple smooth black tank top, a dark blue jean vest on top, and matching jean pants.
"Next" They guy behind the window called.
I looked at nodded her head one last time before asking the guy for two tickets to 6:30  'Exorcisms' movie. He gave me the price and moved the tickets my way while I slipped a twenty through and told him to keep the change.
"Thanks man," he said before we fully left.
"I don't know if you notice, but that was Carlos, from my math class." Jamie told me.
"You mean supper freshmen Carlos?" She nodded her head. I never really see him around since he isn't in any of my classes, but ever since he's been in eleventh grade math I've heard he has been having hard times.
"You should really hang out with him sometime," she said in a low tone of voice while,"I feel sorry for him."
"Okay," I said not really sure what else say.

Jamie
God, I'm so stupid this was way too much. Ugh, I didn't thing it was going to be this c-creepy. The last time I went to a horror movie with Aaron I kind of liked it because of the way it played with your head, but this movie was doing that and 10 times more gory. Only  an hour into the movie and already chills running down my back. The main character, or in this case the devil, was going to creep from behind her mother with a bloody knife in her right hand. They was already blood from the first killing of her dog, Spots, ugh. Just as she was going to kill the mother I buried my face in Aaron's shirt since I already confiscated his leather jacket. His arm was around my holding my shoulder while trying to comfort me. "You sure you don't want to leave?" He asked me again this time worried.
"I'm fine," I rarwed trying to keep my stomach in place.
"We're  leaving," He said standing up and taking my hand while the two couples in the back where yelling at us to get out of the way. I didn't fight anymore only because couldn't take it anymore, I was terrified.
"I'm sorry," I whispered while we left.
"Jamie, no need to apologized. I'm the one who took you to see this. I'm the one who should be apologize." He said hugging me while I apologized again. This time for ruining the night, not being able to finish it, and picking the movie in the first place, and then insisting in it.  "Stop it, it's alright, you didn't ruin anything," He smiled at me grabbed my chin and kissed it.
I was finally convinced and took a deep breath.

Aaron
I waited across from the girls bathroom for Jamie to come out. I was kind of glad we left anyways, the movie was more gory than creepy, and starting to bore me. "Ready?" I asked while she came out. She nodded her head then grabbed my hand. Her cold hands where soft, and her fingers were now tangling into mine.

Jamie
When I got into his car closed my eyes, trying to erase the horrible movie scenes from my mind. We where already far gone from the parking lot "So what are you doing tomorrow?" I asked trying my very best not to think about the movie and changing our previous subject.
"Guitar lessons, then art classes." he smiled. I remembered the first time he picked up a guitar, watching the man playing on the street hand it over to him to get a first feel. Never will I forget what he said to him just before our parents came to take us away from the strange man, "I can just see it, someday, you'll be up on that stage, as a rock star," he said while taking away the guitar and softly laughing.
"You really like that art class don't you." He nodded his head without even looking at me. "You're an amazing talented guy you know?" He laughed softly.
"And you're an amazing talented gal, you know?" He said making me blush. "You should really let me draw you, you're beautiful, I don't know why you don't want people to know that." He smiled making my checks redder.
"I don't know," I said taking my eyes off him and to the road. I could tell by the signs where we were headed tonight, James Park. What where we doing here? Oh, I just give up. Being around him I'd never know what to expect.

Aaron
I surprised her with a small picnic for two at the lake nearby Jame's Park's Garden's bridge entrance was. Also known as nearby where we first kissed. "Aaron," She smiled while I put the basket down and started to set up. "I can't believe you brought me here," she smiled. I then noticed how the moonlight hit her face, and how much I wanted her right then, right now.

Jamie
When I went to help set up he grabbed the basket defensively. I sighed, "I can help too you know?" I sighed.
"No, just relax," he smiled while still setting up the blanket.
"Well alright-t" I said.
Aaron
She sat on top of the red and white checkered blanket I brought from home. I had served her some easy stuffed mushrooms made for her as appetizers, she smiled, knowing I'd remembered her favorites.
How could I forget. The first week of becoming a vegetarian, at age nine, all she ate was stuffed mushrooms. I watched her take the first bite and smile, "Yummy," she said kissing me on the check, letting me know I've done right.
I then had one myself, thought what a good and pretty liar, she was a much better cooker.
"You're lying," I smiled while laughing.
"No I'm not," She laughed along. "It's good," She smiled, taking the stuffed mushroom I offered her from my fork.
Jamie
"Guess where I'm going after Sara's while you're stuck at picking up your parents?" I smiled while he shrugged.
"I don't know," He said. "Where?" He asked.
"You're not even going to try to guess?" I rose her eyebrow. "Come on," I punched his shoulder playfully.
"Nah," he said while I rolled my eyes.
"Ugh, fine," I said while he laughed. "To get the sequel to The Invincible!" I nearly squirmed while he laughed harder.
"I told you, you'd like that comic," He stuck out his tongue while I grinned.
"It's going to be amazing!" He then smiled. "It better be," He then shook his head while smiling. "What?" I asked laughing.
"Nothing you're so letting me read after you finish." he said taking another bit of B-B-Q with rice on the side he made for me.

Aaron
"That's what you think," she responded.
I watched her watch me after we both finished eating. I watched the moonlight hit her more and more, creating a shadow that followed her. She got up to watch the moon's reflection hit the water. I sat down with my arms wrapped around my knees staring out, and so did she. We didn't speak, just enjoyed each others company.

Jamie
Aaron's company was all I needed to feel happy theses days. He had his imperfect perfect written all over him.
"Close your eyes," He smiled, so I did, completely trusting him. I heard him get up, come back, and flipping pages.
And now the sound of a pencil moving back and forward. I peeked seeing what I expected, Aaron sitting in front of me with his sketch book, a pencil, and an eraser out, "Please don't move," he begged so I didn't, trying to keep every muscle in my body still. He came over to relax me though. Massaging my checks, loosening my tense face, my tense arms, and my lips by kissing them until my eyes closed leaving me absolutely relaxed.

Aaron
I went back to start drawing her. She was so beautiful, so beautiful. So uncontainable. I tried to read her, but couldn't. An unpredictable and wonderful girl was sitting right in front of me.

Jamie
I then knew I was alone. It's been forever now, just sitting here, just me and my thoughts, it's starting to kill me... Finally I imagined his breath  touching my skin like yesterday, his cold hands on my back warming up, his hair hitting placed on my face, and his lips moving to my neck. I then opened my eyes, noticing it wasn't my imagination. He was obviously done, and kissing me while I kissed back.
Our-r lips moved apart then back together. His hands tangled my hair.
I opened my eyes finding his eyes close and everything packed.
He then found the strength to lift me. Really lifting me off my feet.

Aaron
I lifted her off her feet and carried her back to the car.
"What are you doing, you know I have legs," she smiled while kissing me.
"Yeah," I kissed back, "But I can't let you go," I felt her smile while kissing me now. Her arms were wrapped around my neck while my arms were carrying her back and legs.
"You sure I'm too to heavy, Aaron," She said self conscious. She was about 120 pounds, not heavy.
"I'm positive," I smiled.

Jamie
I was relived being put back on the grown. He opened my door again and got in. "My place next?" He asked while smiling. Was it really going to happen, finally. I knew he was the one. Being with him, I felt like a twenty year old trapped in a seventeen year old's body, so mature.
Aaron
I held her hand the way home... excited, and nervous. I hope all goes well...
