Autumnal

Autumnal

A Poem by John Reese
"

The sun and the leaves; interplay. Old and young;mortality

"
To ponder a lifetime
The late summer evening
Golden rays on rust pretend
Perfect glitter on the breeze
Prepare for the thaw
The world has yet to freeze
Surrender I must to Eternity
Wisdom is perfection believe
Carried by the wind
On sun shot leaves......

It's my favorite season, followed closely by winter. I enjoyed the interplay, John!

Nicely done and profound...only to have wisdom and youth too.. that would be perfection. Enjoyed
