A DRIVE WITH DADA Chapter by eaglepoetA special ride with my dad. One of my final experiences with him.A DRIVE WITH DAD keeps rolling records even smallest details I wish to forget. The past isn't easy to remember, but you don't want to lose it as it fades. Rough bumps all over resurfacing setting wheels backward when they oughta move ahead. A continuous movie like revolving doors opening and shutting goes on without skipping beats or pausing. Give up on trying to stop this it's natural. Some recollections wanna be discarded, others have to last. Can't get hold of why that is either but roll with it. Rekindling soft spot that singleride in my father's renovated '65 or '69 green Mustang Convertible. We rode around with windows down sunroof open. Frigid bite overtook air the transition between seasons fermenting. We went to a corner store to get State Line potato chips and drinks.
