Sunset

Sunset

A Poem by eaglepoet

Sunset

radiant purple and pink hues overtake

skies once blue,

as sunset comes,

and evening falls upon

earth.

a glow encompasses

that upward vault.

it can be seen in windows,

as a cordial haze

beams down.

I enjoyed this poem, and found it to be brimming with beautiful imagery and great metaphor. I feel it actually brings the reader in, sitting there enjoying that sunset you wrote so well about. A definite contender for the contest I'd say :)
