[old wheelbarrow.]A Poem by eaglepoetAbout an old wheelbarrow outside.
old wheelbarrow.
abandoned near woods. lying on a bed of straw and dirt. rusted and tarnished. used to carry soil, bricks, and mulch. overturned, colors disintegrated in due season. it has been retired. no longer in use. resting on the uneven ground. its point of retirement reached, is it only destined to waste away with rolling years, has it served its purpose? I look at it and see junctures of childhood. experiences of barrow rides, enter my head. they allude to snapshots of memories, that have faded into obsolescence. a period of easiness, that implied simplicity. I intently cherish these reflections © 2016 eaglepoetReviews
