This Early Morning

This Early Morning

A Poem by eaglefeather
"

a beautiful spring morning

"
Dew drops, Glistening like diamonds
The fog surrounds the edges
The colors, Bright
Yet Dark at the same time

The cold pricks me, chilling me to the bone
Running through my body
I can see my breath
Floating around me like a cloud

There is a silence, it surrounds everything
Just like the fog
Making everything Unknown past the trees
This early morning, as Dark as can be

I love how you portray "morning" as surprisingly different from how it's commonly described.

There is a real and pure beauty in silence found in a cold night nestled in fog. You capture it masterfully.

This was an enjoyable read. I like how you contrast both light and dark in the coldness of a dreary day. It was a very identifiable image one could imagine in their mind. Nice work indeed. Thank you for sharing your poem.
