A Poem by Tanushree
"

The greatest match in tennis history.

"

Year 2008. The month of July.
Lush green.
With a tinge of purple.
All white.
A bandana here, an insignia there.
Canary yellow spheres, bouncing up and down.
Battle of sensibilities.
Battle of sheer class and sheer power.
SW19, says the address. Do not come, if you cannot fathom yourself at the top.
At the very pinnacle.
Wind back a month.
Cut to the present.
A battle of generations.
Present and future.
Best ever and best currently.
The greatest competition in history.
Fifth set, sixteenth game.
Canary yellow sphere

, bounced up and down.
A minute.
Elation.
Game, set and match.

Rafael Nadal had won the battle of the surfaces.
