Thank You :)A Poem by Dylan SFor your compassion, bravery, and kindnessThank you For your compassion, bravery, and kindness In helping those in a time of need, You have done the ultimate deed. You saved me when I was a lad, The sickness made me feel real bad. When I came to your office I was trembling, But soon once again I was smiling. You did what you had to do, You looked through the scope and knew. I had this and that, And it's why I was never fat. I was scared and afraid, But I had to face it. The vein in my arm, You had to insert it. I came to your care, I studied while there. You were surprised, And my mother looked on me with those eyes. It was clear as day, My skin was perfect. Except for some pimples, Which your medication wrecked. You said I have 20/20 vision, As I looked across the room. I could see the letters with such precision, And imagine the flowers in bloom. You've studied so hard, And have come so far. I want to see you succeed, And you still helped me. You always bring me what I need, As I sit and read. A pill for me to swallow, And a place for me to follow. Soon you may ready to scope again, To see how I've been doing. I won't eat any grain that day, And hope I don't have to go on the freeway. They keep coming and coming, The calls and visits, The voices and faces, The lives and the people. But you are always there, So thank you. _____________ Dylan S.
