TurtlesA Poem by Dylan SDo not open another bag of Cheetos.Little turtle and big turtle on the rock, Young and old, wet and dry, Do not go into the water of the tank. Baby turtle and mommy turtle on the beach, Refreshed and aged, slippery and rough, Do not go into the water of the ocean. Food, it’s delicious, you know you want it, Fresh or rotten, tried or expired, Do not open another bag of Cheetos. There are good men on the beach and in the water, Young and old, dry and wet, Do not go into the water or onto the beach. There is plastic inside all of us, The Earth is part of all of us, The turtles are part of the Earth. Now go to sleep turtle, For you have been awake for millions of years, But the time of the humans has come, And it is now bedtime. © 2020 Dylan SReviews
