Man's Best Friend

Man's Best Friend

A Poem by Dylan
"

About one of the best pets in the world. In my opinion.

"
I see Man's best friend
Dancing in the wind
Frolicking over the wild, wet grass
His goal is to play
Under the Sun's sweet sway
Making motions as smooth as glass
My goal is to watch
Him kick it up a notch
And to make sure he stays out of trouble
It just recently rained
So his energy is unchained
And his great speed is nearly double
Oh how he jumps
And his legs do pump
While he is chasing his favorite ball
His motions do slow
And I sure do know
That he is tired of giving his all
Well, many hours do pass
But the time did not quite last
As long as my companion did once hope
So we sadly head home
No more may he roam
And boy does he need some soap

LOL. The ending caught me off-guard. This is excellent. It's a smooth read from start to finish and your rhymes don't feel at all forced.

About
Well, I'm a shy guy. Once you get to know me though, I can get very talkative, spastic, etc... Anyways. I probably won't put much stuff up here because I lack self-confidence, but hey, I'll give it a.. more..
