Peaceful Night

sleeplessly i watch

staring out my window

watching the trees sway in the breeze

shadows shifting in the night

dark sky bright moon

it's glow cutting through the darkness

illuminating my bed

leaving shadows to form

I smile and close my eyes

and peacefully dream once more
