Avenge

:D my new short story. If enough people like it. I'm turning it into a book. :D

"

She pulled the knife out of her pocket. It was her favorite knife; it was given to her by her best friend. She stared at the beautiful knife he had given to her. It has been a couple of months since she thought about him. He died when they were ten. Her friend was trying to protect her from an attacker. She swore she would get revenge on the guy that killed him. She knew that the guy was too quick.

“Come out wherever you are.” Said a voice she hadn’t heard in a long time. “I know you are here. I know what you want. You don’t have to hide child.”

She stayed hidden. She didn’t want to be seen. “Darn it. I didn’t expect him to be here.”

“I know you here, Asumi. I should have finished you off the first time we met. You’re lucky you’re friend saved you. Hmm what was his name again? I think it was Akio.” Said the man with a scar running from his temple to his neck.

“I can’t go out in the open. He will try to kill me, but I will avenge your death Akio. You will be avenged no matter what.” Asumi put her knife in her pocket. She had a sword strapped to her waist. She grabbed the hilt and pulled her shiny sword out. She knew that would attract the attention of the man she wanted to kill. Asumi didn’t think she would run into him in a place like this. Was she really ready to kill anyone? Not really, but she wanted him dead. She lost her best friend because of him.

“She has been spotted.” The man said with a wicked smile on his face. He wanted to kill her ever since she was younger. He remembered vaguely about Akio.

He went over to where she was hiding. Asumi readied her sword. Asumi hated this man with everything in her core. “I will avenge, Akio’s death, just wait!”

She slashed her sword with energy. The man was surprised that she had that much energy for a child. The man flew back and hit his back on the building. He looked at her. She was glowing in red. Her eyes had changed to red, black, and silver mix. She was in a dangerous mood now. She wanted him dead that bad. The man wasn’t scared of her. He just laughed insanely.

“DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO BEAT ME WITH THOSE WEAK ATTACKS?!” the man yelled. His forehead and mouth were bleeding and so was his shoulder. His vision was getting blurred by red. He had grown delirious. Asumi’s eyes still held that mix of black, red, and silver. She could feel something bubbling up inside her chest. She knew it was anger and power.

“I don’t think my attacks are that weak considering you have a cut on your shoulder and your head. I want to kill you, but I know you are holding back! Now take out your sword so we can fight for real. Asumi knew that she may not be able to fend off his attacks, but she was going to try. She needed to try so that she could avenge him. Akio’s image entered her mind. She was going to avenge him and she wanted to end this quickly.

“You are weak no matter what you say, child!” he spat at her. He attacked her and swung wide. She could feel something cold better her body. It was the blade that had slain her friend. It was in her arm. She looked in shock as her attacker stopped. She could see someone coming to her. It was Akio!

“I will lend you my strength my friend.” She could feel more energy going through her. She could feel his power and his heart combined with hers. “We will finish him together. Scream out the name of your attack. It will help us win this fight, Asumi.”

Asumi nodded in her mind. The man had a look on his face. He was in complete shock. His body was frozen. She screamed out the name of her attack. Mehshokentakumi! A white red light shot out from her sword. It hit the man and it went through his body. It cut him completely in half. Asumi felt weak after that attack.

She fell to her knees and she knew she had avenged his death. She knew it was with her help. She was happy that she could do it. Her eyes closed. She was tired. Akio’s spirit kissed her on the lips. His spirit then floated away.

A man lay dead and a girl unconscious were what people found the next day.
