Chapter 24

                Aidan wasn’t in the mood to have a conversation with his father. John put a hand on his son’s shoulder.

                “Aidan, I am serious about not doing anything to your mother. I would never harm her in any way. I had no idea what you were talking about can we please just let this go and be friends again.” John asked sadly. John loved the bond that he had with his son. John didn’t want to ruin that.

                “I don’t want to be friends with someone who can’t tell me the straight truth. If you told me the truth we wouldn’t be in this situation right now, dad. I know you are lying to me. I can tell by the look in your eyes.” Aidan said as he looked at the floor.

                “Son, I am honestly telling you the truth. I don’t understand why you don’t believe me. Why would I lie to you?”

                “You lied to me when I asked you about the suicide note. It was clear on your face that you didn’t want to tell me. I think you know something about Mom’s murder. I have a feeling that you know all about it, but that’s just a feeling.” Aidan said. Aidan couldn’t figure his father out.

                “Aidan, I know nothing about your mother’s murder. I was just as astonished as you were when you found her in the kitchen. Don’t you remember that night, Aidan?” John asked. Aidan thought back to the night he found his mother murdered when he was six years old. He didn’t want those memories to flood back into his mind. Aidan’s brow started to furrow when he thought about his mother. His chest started to hurt. Aidan’s eyes started to fill with tears because he was thinking about the day that his mother had been found dead on the kitchen floor.

                Aidan couldn’t take the pain he was feeling anymore and ran upstairs. John looked at his son as he ran upstairs. He started to feel bad that he made Aidan think back to the night of the murder. He knew that it was hard for Aidan to carry over the years. John thought back to all the times he held Aidan in his arms while he was crying at night. John had to wake up in the middle of the night to screaming. Aidan’s little voice would scream out mommy and then he would hear crying. Aidan knew that his mother wasn’t around anymore. John went upstairs to check on Aidan, but his door was locked. John just slowly went away from the door and went into his own room. John knew that Aidan needed time to cool off.

                Aidan was up most of the night thinking about his mother. Aidan couldn’t sleep all that much and Aidan was extremely tired. At five o’clock in the morning he fell asleep.

                The next morning Aidan woke up at eleven o’clock. He was hearing pounding on his front door. Aidan went downstairs and opened the door quickly. As soon as his door was opened someone was crying in his arms. Aidan looked down at the person that was crying in his arms. It was Chloe and she was crying hard.

                “Chloe, what’s wrong?” Aidan asked her trying to comfort her. Chloe wasn’t calming down and Aidan was really scared. Aidan hadn’t really spoken to Chloe since the whole not believing what he found out incident.

                “I just got a call from R-Randy’s p-parents an-and Randy is in the hos-hospital.” Chloe said crying hard. She couldn’t really get the words out that well. She was really upset.

                “Why is Randy in the hospital?” Aidan exclaimed now scared for his friend’s life.

                “He got into a ca-car acc-accident and the driver that hit him was drunk. Can you please take me to the hos-hospital? I can’t go on my own.” Chloe said grabbing Aidan’s hand tightly.

                “I will take you to the hospital.” Aidan said trying to sooth her and grabbed her keys from her hand. They walked quickly over to her house to get into her car. Aidan got a text from Courtney while they were on their way to the hospital, but he couldn’t answer. Chloe was crying harder and harder the moment they got closer and closer to the hospital. Aidan was really worried about Randy.

                Aidan had told Randy one day he would get into a car accident with his reckless driving, but Aidan didn’t think it would come true. This time Aidan was sure that it wasn’t Randy who was being reckless it was the guy that was driving drunk that was. Aidan knew the laws and he wasn’t ever going to break them. He knew that it wasn’t safe to drink and drive, but sometimes people just don’t listen.

                As soon as they were closer to the hospital Chloe would grab Aidan’s hand tighter. Aidan could tell that Chloe was completely nervous that she was going to see Randy in a hospital bed. Randy had never been as seriously injured as he was at the moment.

                Chloe and Aidan made it to the hospital in record time. Aidan wanted to make sure that the mother of Randy’s baby was going to be okay. The expression written on her face said she was worried. Chloe rushed into the hospital as fast as she could. She ran off before Aidan even made it from the car.

                When they were both in the hospital Randy’s parents were sitting in the waiting room. Randy’s mother was pacing the hallways crying. His father was sitting in a chair with his head in his hands. Chloe went over to his mother and hugged her. His mother hugged her back and you could tell she was squeezing Chloe really hard. Chloe went over to Randy’s father and hugged him as well. She squeezed his hand and he squeezed back.

                “I wonder if Randy’s parents know if Chloe is pregnant. Randy doesn’t even know she’s pregnant so I don’t think his parents would know either. I wonder when Chloe is going to tell them that she’s pregnant.” Aidan thought to himself. While Aidan was lost in his thoughts Randy’s mother went up and hugged him. Aidan snapped out of his thoughts and looked to see who was hugging him. His heart was beating faster because he forgot that he was standing in the hospital. Aidan realized that Randy’s mother was hugging him and hugged her back.

                “It’s nice to see you, Aidan. I am glad that you came because Randy would be really happy to see you. He was bumming around the house, but I don’t know why.”

                Aidan figured he knew why, but he wasn’t going to say anything when Randy was lying in the hospital bed. He shook his head and got rid of the thoughts that were in his mind.

                A couple of hours later a doctor came out to speak to his family.

                “Randy is awake and he would like to see you all. Your son is going to be just fine. He had a minor car accident. He just has a bump on his head. He is just complaining of a headache, but soon the morphine will kick in. He might be a little loopy, but that’s normal.” The doctor said politely.

                Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. They thought that the injuries were going to be worse than they were. Randy’s car wasn’t totaled by the other driver which was a good thing. If it was the injuries to Randy would have been much worse. All four of them walked into Randy’s bedroom. Randy had a big smile on his face.

                “Aidan, it’s good to see you,” Randy said happily.

                “It’s good to see you to, dude.” He responded.

                “I have something to tell you all,” Chloe said in an embarrassed tone.

                “What is it, honey,” Randy said getting worried.

                “I don’t know how to tell you this Randy, but you are going to be a father.” Chloe said happily, but sadly at the same time. Randy’s parents’ jaws dropped. Aidan wasn’t in shock at all because he already knew.

                “When did you find out?” Randy asked shocked. Randy didn’t know what he was going to do with a baby on the way.

                “I found out yesterday and I was in just as much shock as you are.”

                Randy didn’t know what else to say. He was shocked to find out that he was going to be a daddy. He was a teenager and didn’t know how to really take care of a baby.

                “Can I talk to Aidan alone please?”

                “Sure, honey. I will be outside talking with your parents on what to do.” Randy’s parents and Chloe went outside of the hospital room to talk about what was going to happen.

                “Aidan, what should I do? I can’t be a father and we both know that. I’m so young and I don’t know how to raise a baby. If I knew how to raise a baby I would be happy about this. I would also be happy about this if we were a little older and married.” Randy said while chewing on his fingernails nervously.

                “I don’t know what you should do. I know it’s going to be difficult for you because you are young. I think you should be talking about this with your parents. I think they would know what to do. I think it would have been better if you were older as well. I don’t think Chloe or you would be under so much pressure. I already knew that Chloe was pregnant though.” Aidan said looking at Randy.

                “You knew that Chloe was pregnant? How did you find out that she was?”

                “Courtney told me when we were hanging out. Chloe had called her to tell her because Chloe was probably scared to tell you. I would have been scared to tell you too if I were a teenage girl. I think you should at least be there for Chloe. She will need you through this process. She will need all the support she can get. I have to warn you about this early. Girls get very emotional when they are pregnant. Their moods change within five seconds. I learned that the hard way.” Aidan said remembering when his Aunt Mary was pregnant. Peter would tell him all the stories about this.

                “I know what you mean. I saw your Aunt pregnant, remember? That was not a pretty site at all.”

                “I agree with that.” Aidan said with laughter.

                “I know you do,” Randy said smiling.

                “I wish I didn’t have to see her pregnant.” Aidan said.

                “I wish that too. Aidan, I’m really glad that you aren’t mad at me anymore. I don’t know what I would have done if I found this without you here. I’m getting tired I think I’m going to go to sleep. Tell my parents that I will see them tomorrow. The doctor said that I was fine and I can be released from the hospital.” Randy said with a smile.

                “Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow then Randy, bye.” Aidan said and walked out of the room.

                “Is Randy alright?”

                “Yes, ma’am, he is just tired and is falling asleep. He said that he will see you tomorrow and that the doctor said that he can be released tomorrow.”

                “Alright, thank you Aidan.” His mother said with a smile. Aidan drove Chloe home because she was getting tired herself. Aidan walked home and went to bed because he was still tired from the night before.

i hopew RaNDY DOESN'T LEAVE CHLOE CAUSE THAT JUST REALLY MEAN AND THEY'RE LIKE THE PERFECT COUPLE AND STUFF. i'm really happy that Randy's okay though :)

What a time to break the preganacy news to Randy and his family! But I guess with emotions running high it was a good a time as any!

Still dying to know if John, (Aidans father) and what will become of him! Is it teenage anxieties from Aidans part? intersting indeed :)

WEll he said he didn't want to see her pregant, but it's too late now. :P WEE;; i'm glad randy finally knows and i'm also glad he's ok.

I had no idea what you were talking about can we please just let this go and be friends again.” - can we go backto the way things were before? that sounds better becasue a dad shouldn't be friends with his kids.
