Frozen

I received a letter,
From you,
And it made me go numb,
But eventually I stood there frozen,
I couldn't even blink,
I couldn't think straight,
I became frozen,
The words on the letter hurt me.
I knew you meant them.
My frozen body,
Collapsed on the ground,
My knees underneath me,
I unfroze,
Tears were running down my face.
When I saw you the next time,
I froze where I stood.
You stared at me,
I felt numb again.
You gave me the saddest look ever,
But then you walked past me.
I was going to go after you,
But my body was frozen.
I fell to the ground again,
And started crying.
You saw this,
You came back,
And helped me up,
You wiped my tears away,
But I was still frozen,
And you could tell.
You could tell I was numb,
You knew I was hurt,
And you stayed with me,
Until I was able to face you,
For the last time.
I gave the letter back you.
You just stared at it,
You didn't want to take it back,
Because you knew how much it hurt me,
But I couldn't keep it.
I would have froze again.
I didn't want to keep getting hurt.
I didn't want to keep getting numb.
You took it from my hand,
Tears were in your eyes.
I still had tears flowing from my eyes.
I just ran away,
You didn't try to stop me.
You just stayed on the ground,
Frozen.

I'm assuming it's heartbreak? Through a letter? How rude. Even if it was just hurtful words delivered in a letter...Still rude. I believe that if you're going to break someone you should at least have the decency to do it in person. Face to face. Where the other person can read the emotion in your eyes. Nice poem by the way. Obviously, it made me rant about injustices. I apologize. It was truly sad. You portrayed that well. Great job =]

I like the ending bit the best, with the contrast of what the other person, presumably a boy wants to do. Does he want to console the girl, or does he just want to walk off and be done with it?
