Aidan

Just came up with it. Hope you like.

He had a nice pair of eyes
And a cute little nose
Aidan was a special kid
Who was always full of smiles
Until something happened to him
That changed his mind
Aidan was a little strange
After that day that changed
His life for the worst
Aidan cried himself to sleep at night
After seeing what he saw
His mother dead on the floor
Blood all over the door
On all of the counters
On the oven
And other places that don't need to be mentioned
Aidan had changed that day
Locked himself in his room
And was always thinking about suicide
But he couldn't go through it
Poor little Aidan
Lost in the sea
Of darkness

I think this seemed so sad not only because of the writing itself, but because this actually happens. Good write, my only note is that "and other places that don't need to be mentioned" kind of takes from the flow and the seriousness of the poem. Otherwise, good work :)

oh my goodness
this started off so sweet and innocent
you did a nice job developing aidan's character
i started to fall in love with him and felt very upset as the poem progressed
you did a great job with contrast, character development, climax and drama in this very short but insightful write.
