Organization Zero- Chapter 6A Chapter by Angie Diane♥♥Chapter 6 Chris was home sick because he got sick the next day. I went to school because his dad has off for today and the rest of the week. I was scared to go back to Chris’ house. I didn’t want to get hit by his Dad again. Chris told me he was abused from ten to sixteen. I’m just glad he wasn’t a baby when that happened. I walked to school and Nick caught up to me. “Hey honey how are you,” Nick asked. “I’m fine,” I responded. Nick kissed me on the cheek. I looked at him with a blank look on my face. “What’s wrong,” he asked me. Nothing, let’s go,” I told him. “Okay,” Nick said. We walked and Nick was by my side the whole time. I was really tired today. “Are you okay,” Nick asked me. “Yes,” I said. “You don’t look like it,” Nick said. “I’m just really tired today,” I said. “Oh,” he said. He kissed me on the cheek again. My cheek was bruised, but I used cover up to hide the bruises. I don’t want anyone to know about them. Chris knew because his father came into my room and hit me. My stomach was now black and blue when I woke up in the morning. I couldn’t use cover up on those because I knew people were going to see them. I will make up excuses as to why I have the bruises. I can’t tell people the truth some because people saw Chris hit me. They don’t know about his dad and the new abuse. Chris couldn’t protect me yesterday. He was actually sleeping when his dad hit me. I cried after he hit me and Chris heard. “Aimi, I’m so worried about you,” Nick said. “Why,” I asked. “You are lying to me I can tell,” he said. “What are you talking about,” I asked. “You aren’t okay,” he said. “I am I don’t know what are you talking about,” I said tears were starting to form in my eyes. “I’m sorry,” he said in an upset tone. “Why are you sorry you didn’t do anything to me,” I said. “I’m making you cry,” he said. “It’s not your fault,” I said. “Yes, it is,” he said. “Nick, I’m being abused,” I admitted to him. “What,” he asked his eyes turning black. “Nick you’re scaring me,” I said. “Oh, I’m sorry that makes me mad. Who is abusing you,” he asked. “Chris’ dad,” I said. He looked shocked after that one. “When did this start,” he questioned. “Since the day you came over to my old house,” I said. “That was two days ago,” he said. “I know,” I said. “Where were you yesterday,” he asked. “I was sick,” I said. “Oh well you missed a meeting,” he said. “I don’t care,” I said. “You should it was important,” Nick said. “Listen to me. I don’t care,” I said. “Alright can I tell you what it was about at least,” Nick asked. “Yes,” I said. “Well it was about Ken. Ken is going to try to kidnap you in a few months. We need to protect you,” Nick said. “I had a dream about that,” I said. “Are you kidding,” he asked me. “No, you can even ask Chris,” I said. “Oh, okay,” he said. He still looked worried. “Why are you so worried,” I asked him. “I just don’t want to see you get hurt,” he said. “To late for that,” I thought in my mind. “What’s the look on your face for,” he said. “Oh nothing,” I said. “Are you lying again,” he said frowning. “I’m not lying to you,” I said feeling guilty that I was lying. “Oh,” he said. A few seconds later we were at the school. Nick and I had lunch together and that was about it. “Well see you later,” he said. He kissed me on the lips and walked away. I was blushing because people were staring at me. Girls were staring at me with jealousy. A lot of girls liked Nick. He didn’t like them back though. “Aimi,” my friend Lindsey said. “Hello,” I said. “I haven’t seen you in a while,” she said. “I’ve been pretty busy. I had to settle into a new home recently,” I said. “You moved out of your house,” she asked. “Not exactly,” I said. “What do you mean not exactly,” I said. “My parents died in a car accident,” I said. “Are you kidding,” she asked. “Of course not,” I said. “Aww,” she said. “I’ve been doing a lot better,” I said. “That’s good,” she said. “I’ve had Chris helping me out,” I said. “You mean Bridget’s boyfriend,” she said. “Ex-boyfriend. He broke up with her,” I said. “That’s horrible. Is that why Bridget had been crying lately,” Lindsey asked. “Yeah, where is she,” I asked. “The bathroom,” Lindsey said. “Okay,” I said walking into the bathroom. “Bridget, are you in here,” I asked. “What do you want,” she asked rudely. “I wanted to see how you’re doing,” I said. I felt bad that Chris broke up with her because of me. It was really my fault because Chris is overprotective of me. “Well I don’t need you to check on me,” she said. “I feel really bad about Chris breaking up with you,” I told her. “I don’t need your sympathy,” Bridget said in a sarcastic tone of voice. “You don’t have to be sarcastic,” I told her. She got up and it seemed like she wanted to start a fight with me. I wasn’t in the mood. “Well you started this fight between you and me,” Bridget said getting in my face. “Get out of my face,” I said. She didn’t move. “Make me,” she said. My eyes turned merciless I didn’t want to be like that. I really wanted to just be in a cheerful mood not a cold-blooded mood. I didn’t want to be cruel. She was making me angry and heartless. I punched Bridget in the face and she fell to the ground. I jumped on her and continued to punch her in the face. She shrieked in pain and I really didn’t want to do that, but she was in my face. I hate when people get in my face for no reason. Ten minutes later people came in the bathroom and pulled me off her. The principle came and brought us to the office. I was nervous because I barely get sent to the office. “Aimi, I’m astonished you were in this fight,” Principle Widrow. “She was in my face. That really upset me,” I said. “Was that true, Bridget,” asked Mr. Bridget. “Yes, she was apologizing to me,” she said. Her face was bloody because I hit her with my right hand. My right hand had two rings. She also had a bloody nose, but with the strength I was punching her with it was probably broken. “Then what happened,” Mr. Widrow asked me this time. “She said I don’t need you sympathy when I tried to apologize. She got in my face. I asked her kindly to get out of my face. She was like make me and she wouldn’t move. I punched her in the face after that. That is what started the fight,” I said. “Well I’m sorry Aimi; your adopted father needs to come get you. You are suspended for two days. Bridget you are suspended for three for really starting the fight. You really started this fight,” Mr. Widrow said. A few minutes later Chris’ dad came to get me. I didn’t consider him my father. “I’m sorry about her behavior,” he said. He grabbed me by the wrist tightly. I almost shrieked in pain, but I didn’t want Mr. Widrow to find out about the abuse. “It wasn’t her fault,” he said. He smiled at me and Chris’ dad dragged me out of the building. “Why did you do that,” he yelled at me when we were in the car. “The girl was in my face,” I responded. “You shouldn’t have hit her like that. You are in a lot of trouble when you get home,” he told me. I knew I was going to be. He didn’t really have to tell me. I knew I was going to sneak off to my other house when he goes and hangs out with his friends. I knew that would be a bad idea, but I didn’t want to be in the house after he hurts me. “I know,’ I finally said after a minute or so. He smiled to show that he was proud of what he was doing. He probably knew it was against the law. He was enjoying the torment of a child. I didn’t understand why. He did abuse Chris which stopped. I don’t know what is wrong with him and thinking it is right to abuse children. “You better know,” he said as we pulled into the driveway. We walked into the house and he pulled me inside the bedroom. I hate when he pulls me in then I know I’m going to get beat hard. That was a bad sign. I didn’t need to get hurt because of what Bridget started and Chris never deserved to get hit in the first place. He was a good kid from what I heard from his Mom. He was not as bad as he is today. His dad toughened him up she told me. He hit me against the wall and I didn’t do anything, but braced myself for the more pain that is going to overcome me. He hit me a few more times in the face. Then he hit me in the stomach. I doubled over in pain like normal. This time something new happened. He took a belt out his belt loops. He hit my back with the belt. It burned at first. Then after a few times it didn’t hurt as bad, but it hurt the first five times. Chris came in after his dad left me on the floor. I was crying because it hurt really badly. Chris helped me up and helped me lay on the bed. “Aimi, are you okay,” he asked me. “I’ll be fine,” I said crying more. “My dad did that to me. I hope it doesn’t happen again,” he said. “It might happen tomorrow. Did you hear what happened in school today,” I asked him. “No, what happened,” he asked. “Your ex-girlfriend got into a fight with me. She actually started the fight. She got in my face. I ended up punching her. I have two days of suspension. She has three,” I said to Chris. He looked at me with an astonished look on his face. “Oh wow,” he said. “When is your dad leaving,” I asked him. “I don’t know why,” he asked. “I want to go,” I said. “Go where,” he asked. “To see Nick,” I said. “Okay,” Chris responded. Chris didn’t say anything else to me and walked out of the room. © 2010 Angie Diane♥♥Author's Note
