Chapter 1

Mission Part 1/Deciding to Cut

"Naruto, hurry up we are going to be late for our mission," said my pink haired teammate. I didn't have a crush on her anymore because she had her sights on Sasuke. I really didn't want to get in her way anymore.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," I muttered. Sakura was really starting to get on my nerves about everything. I didn't know how Sasuke could take it. They were spending a lot of time with her now.

Since Sasuke and I are best friends he tells me all the details about the dates they have been going on. I didn't really need to know about all the dates that he has. I haven't told him that it wasn't my business because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

"Naruto," Sakura said impatiently.

"What," I asked.

"You are walking way to slow," she said. Sasuke was right by her side holding her hand. I don't understand why she was worrying about me so much. I guess she just didn't want all of us to be late for the mission we were assigned to do.

"I really don't care," I murmured. I really didn't want to hear Sasuke and her conversation.

"This mission is important you know," she said.

"I know," I said loud enough for her to hear.

"Sakura, go on without me okay? I'll talk to Naruto," Sasuke said.

"Sasuke-poo I don't wanna be left alone," she said to her boyfriend.

"I know, but I need to talk to him for a few minutes," he told her.

"Alright," she said and walked a head of us. I really didn't want to hear about the date that they had gone on last night. I really didn't care what they did anymore. She doesn't like me so I'm over her. Sasuke knows that, but he likes to tell me things since I am his best friend and all.

Sasuke was wearing his normal outfit that he wore in battles. He changed going on dates with Sakura into something more comfortable. All the dates they go on they are at the park or the movies. After that they go back to Sakura's house. They make out for a little while then Sasuke sits on top of her. I have heard this all before.

I didn't really want to hear about the date all over again. I knew they went out to a movie last night since I saw them. They went to go see the movie "Akeelah and the Bee" because Sakura said that it looked like a good movie. It truly was a good movie since I went to go see it. Sasuke and Sakura had bumped into me when I was on the line. I rolled my eyes when I saw them. I knew they were coming, but I didn't know that it would be the same exact time that I was going to see it.

"Naruto," Sasuke said to me.

"What," I asked.

"What is going on in your head?"

"That I really don't want to hear about the date you went on," I said.

"Well I really want to tell you," he said.

"I know that, but I really don't want to hear it. You tell me the dreams all the time and it gets really annoying," I told him.

"Well I see your point since I tell you about every date that I go on," Sasuke said to me.

He figured that I would start to get annoyed with it after a long time. He did understand how much he talked about the dates that they went on.

"Sasuke, I really think you should go catch up with Sakura," I told him. He shook his head and I pulled out a kunai knife from my pocket. I looked at the kunai and wondered what it would feel like if I dug it into my skin.

I have always wanted to know what it would feel like to cause self injury to myself. I never did that and now I wanted to know what it would feel like to cause self endangerment. I never have done anything to myself before.

I stopped thinking and decided it was time to catch up with Sakura and Sasuke although I really wanted to know how and what cutting felt like. I had to do the mission before I could really focus on what I wanted to do. I knew I was going to hide the cuts after I made them, but I didn't know how long I had to wait before I could actually do them.

I figured that what they didn't know wouldn't hurt them. I really didn't want them to know that I was thinking of cutting. I didn't want anyone to know.

I caught up to Sakura and Sasuke and we got to our meeting place.

The place that we had to meet someone at was huge. It was like a castle more then a house. The mission was that we protect this lady from ninjas and other things that were after her. She was an important person as it was.

"Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto, I'm glad that you could all make it," Kakashi said at the door. He was already there and that came as a surprise to me since he was normally late. I guess he had to take care of something before he had to go the spot to meet us.

"I'm surprised you're early," I said to Kakashi-sensei.

"Me too," both Sasuke and Sakura said.

"Well don't be shocked I got here a few minutes ago. I'm not that early. Anyway time to get to work," Kakashi said.

"What is our mission," I asked Kakashi.

"We have to protect Princess Amaya from ninja's because she has to get to the land hidden in the water. She is very important to them because she holds a key to something although I really don't know what it is. She will explain to us on the way to the land hidden in the water," Kakashi said.

"I knew this was someone important," Sakura said to Kakashi. Kakashi was deep in thought though and wasn't paying attention to Sakura.

"What did you say," Kakashi finally answered her.

"You weren't listening to what I was saying!"

"No, I wasn't because I was deep in thought," Kakashi said to her. I could even tell he was deep in thought because he wasn't reading his perverted books like normal. Sakura wasn't really paying attention because she likes to hear herself talk. Sasuke knew that too, but he was still attracted to the pink haired girl.

"Well I said I knew that she was very important," Sakura said.

'She is probably prettier then her too,' I thought to myself as Princess Amaya came out of the house.

"Sorry I took so long," she said. When Sasuke and I had seen what she looked like our jaws dropped. She was prettier then Sakura. She had long dark hair that cover one of her eyes. Her eyes were a soft color of pink. She was wearing black and her hair was the same color as her clothing actually. She smiled a sweet smile and she came down the steps. She was very graceful and elegant.

"It's nice to meet you, Princess Amaya," Kakashi said as she shook his hand.

"You don't have to call me Princess just call me Amaya," she said in her angelic voice. She was a soft spoken person. She didn't look mad or sad.

"I-I-it's nice to meet you," I stammered as she shook my hand.

"It's nice to meet you too, Naruto," she said. She smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I was ready to faint because she was so pretty. After introductions it was time to walk with her to the village hidden in the water.

"Why are there so many ninjas after you," Sasuke asked Amaya. Sakura was getting jealous of her.

"Well, I have a key to the village hidden in the water. My Dad used to be the prince there until he died," Amaya said.

"How old were you when he died," Sakura asked her.

"I wasn't born when he died. I was born with the powers that he had," she said. She looked tired.

"Princess, you look tired do you want to stop here and rest," Kakashi asked her.

"Yes, I would and I think you all would too," she said.

"I think we should find something to hide you in first," Kakashi said.

"No need," she said. She pulled out a little white box with bottles in it. She took out a bottle that was number 1 on it. She pushed the button at the top and put it on the ground. When it landed on the ground a black house came out of it. It was big and she set it up from a bottle.

"Wow," said the four of us.

"Well I knew we would need this," she said.

"How many rooms does it have," Sakura asked her.

"It has ten rooms and bathrooms in the bedrooms. There is a kitchen and a sitting room. I hope you are comfortable in the rooms," she said.

I picked the room that had black wallpaper and a bed that was the size of my living room. We all had gotten our own rooms. Sasuke's was blue with white strips. Sakura's was green the color of her eyes. Kakashi's room was a goldish color.

The Princess' room was already labeled. She let me go check her room out. It was black and pink wallpaper. The wall was black with pink hearts on it.

"Thank you," I said as she led me to the kitchen.

"You're welcome. Well I had a long day I'm going to go to bed. I will see you in the morning," she said.

I walked into my room and went into my backpack. I took out the kunai knife. I was ready to do what I thought was for the best.

I put the kunai on my wrist and slowly made a cut on my wrist. It was bleeding for five minutes. I was glad that there was a tissue box in the room. Then I made a second cut after the first was done. I thought it felt pretty good.

After two more cuts I cleaned the kunai knife. I didn't want anyone to know that I cut myself. After I cleaned it I got dressed for bed and went to sleep to get up on time for the next morning.

I loved this first chapter. I wish my fanfic would have done better, but it is horrible.

awwww im sad cuz naruto cut himself :D but besides that very interesting so far seems to have a nice rythm to it.
