Sad and Alone

A poem I wrote for school. I was in ninth grade. I only wrote this because my Uncle's anniversary was coming up...

Deep in the darkness in my heart,

There is a monster that dwells inside me,

The leaves blow as I pass,

Through the woods you go,

But no one knows you're crying,

You feel the rain fall upon your head,

Again you say this is the worst,

People crowd around as you fall,

You fall into an abyss,

You catch yourself and then you feel alone,

Your love ones can't help because you're going to hurt,

You think the world is ending,

You break down in tears,

Then you know your heart has stopped,

You die at the end when no one knows what it means to be sad or alone.

Just know that I only write poetry when I'm sad.

if no ones knows what it is to be depressed sad and alone they are not true to themselves...ur words are heard...and u are so worthy to be loved...know that u are loved and through ur writing healing will come about change will surface...breathe and live...it ok to cry then wipe ur eyes and stand then fly

This is a really dark, intense write! Your emotions came across strongly, and I was really able to get an insight into how you were feeling when you wrote this. There is certainly something tragic about this piece, especially at the start when you describe the 'monster' and 'falling into an abyss'. The only thing about this piece that I was a bit unsure of was the fact that at the start you were writing 'I', and then you changed it to 'you'? Overall though, this was a pretty good write. Nice job,

Doesn't matter when you write. I think a lot of people write when they're angry or sad to vent. I am one of them. I really like your writing and would like to see more. :]
