Phoebe's Law Letter

I had written this letter back in Senior year. I really want Phoebe's Law to be passed in all states. If everyone forwarded this letter...it could help stop bullying.

Dear Senator

                I am honored to be writing to you today. My goal is to write to all of the Senators within the state of New Jersey. The reason that I am writing to you is for a very important matter.

                I am a concerned citizen from Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey. After reading up on the Phoebe Prince case I would love for Phoebe’s Law to be passed for all of the districts in New Jersey. Phoebe’s Law entails that bullying or harassing a student is issued a crime. Bullying needs to be stopped and Phoebe’s Law can help. It doesn’t matter if the bullying is verbal, physical, or cyber they still have to be considered a crime.

                Please pass this law to help prevent bullying throughout schools across the nation and the states. There will be a decrease in teenage suicides among the state of New Jersey. Violence will also decrease in schools. We need your help for this prevention. The law will help and with you on our sides we will be able to help people that are being bullied within every school

Bullies tend to pick on those who are vulnerable, and there should be a law against bulling in school, so thank you for confirming some of the things I was thinking about in relation to bulling
