Cries From A Broken Heart

Little tiny needles,
Entered one by one,
Into my heart,
Tearing more and more deeply,
Each one cutting a piece of you from me.

I don't want the memories,
It just hurts now,
I loved you too much,
But I was foolish to ever think...
You would ever truly love me.

I guess I'm wrong...
As always...
I'm nothing more than an empty shell now.
So hollow...
I shouldn't have loved you...

I feel like an idiot...
Nothing more than an idiot...

Author's Note

This is just how I feel right now....and I just don't think I deserved what I did, but I guess this pain will just make me stronger. Just gotta say. Thanks for leading me on hun. I love you too...

Im reviewing this in January 2015 and I wonder if things have gotten any easier - you dont have to answer - Im just pondering.
The message of the pain and continued pain was conveyed very well.
The heart wants what it wants and well ..its in control sometimes and leads us into very choppy waters like a drunken ships captain - imbibed by the love (or the perceived love) of another.

This poem really inspired me Angie Diane, a pleasure to read
