Black and Blue

Mew....

Every time I look at you,
I see my heart falling apart,
Treating me like I'm nothing,
When I have something inside of me.

I felt my heart rip through my chest,
Onto the floor where you left it,
Making it impossible for me to live on.

Slowly losing it,
Tearing up things that were once important to us both,
Throwing your clothes around,
I'm slammed to the wall.

You're trying to stop me,
Holding me by my throat,
I can't breathe,
Feeling my world turn black.

When I awake from my unconsciousness,
My throat has a blue mark,
I feel the pain,
I just fall apart...

Something is telling me just to leave,
Like you did when you started to strangle me,
Trying to put me out of my misery,
Knowing I wanted to be...

Haha, thanks, that says alot. I feel as though I wrote those statements about as well as a third grader. hhaha. I don't know why I insist on staying up and reading things when I should just go to bed!

I should have said:
The emotions that you wrote in this poem felt very real. I could feel the hurt and some of the contrasting feelings. The ending was a bit unexpected, but it was understandable and laced with an understated bit of wry humor.
Good job! I enjoyed reading this!
