The soldier was stirred by her naughty words and for a moment jerked forward, stopping himself from doing just as she requested.

She continued to look back at him and smiled wickedly hoping he really would kiss her a*s. There was an uneasy silence as he lowered his head and it actually did appear like he was going to do so when Captain Corrigan stepped between the two of them.

"Okay, Mattison, Johnston, that's enough from you two ! You're soldiers, not children. You can be little kids on your own time, but not mine !"

Flair seemed a little disappointed but did stay in her position bent over so the other soldiers could clearly see the sight of the wasp tattoo on her buttocks.

Despite the fact the image was drawn with skill and delicacy like an airbrush, as far as wasps went it was not a pretty sight. It's face was horrid to see and the barb was poised to sting as well.

"Ugly looking, ain't it ?" one said taking in the full picture of it.

Another chided, "Yeah, and that wasp is pretty nasty looking too."

They laughed but grabbed Flair Johnston by the shoulders to raise her back up and hugged her, to let her know they didn't mean any harm with what they said and the fact they were glad she was still alive. Likely they would need all the help they could get.

"Apparently the atmosphere is foul but not deadly." Corrigan said observantly. He looked to see the strange beast was indeed feeling around the perimeter but now it was moving closer on a different set of tentacles, and two were poised ahead of it as if sniffing the air.

"We'll have to find something to clothe you in, Flair, but later. Let's get away from this - "

But he was suddenly interrupted when one tentacle, now having honed in where they were by the vibrations their voices left in the fetid air, whipped out with enormous force slamming into the collected party.

FWAM !

The whole team was flung everywhere. Corrigan was the first to regain consciousness and though still dazed and unable to move, he could only watch as the beast came closer and another probing tentacle touched each unconscious officer in succession. It was clearly looking for something.

Then it came across the naked soldier, Flair again. At first it tapped on her bosomed chest and retracted for a moment, as if thinking. Then it quickly darted down between her legs and rolled the furry triangular spot gingerly there.

Apparently liking what it found, two tentacles slowly loped out with one wrapping around her middle and the other, her leg. they lifted her high up into the air and snaked back towards the beast itself. One tentacle reached for her face and deciding it didn't like the breathing mask she had on, ripped it off crushing it in a perfectly curled coil.

Corrigan fought to stand up and watching what was happening to Johnston yelled at the others, "Get up you fools ! Save her !"

Unfortunately they were still knocked unconscious from the percussive blow against the solid ground, though his voice did awaken Flair, and she was now screaming to high heaven to get free of the awful tentacles.

"Captain, it's got me ! Help !"

"Easy girl, I'm coming !" Corrigan replied and then tried to pull her free of the tentacles. But as soon as he touched one of them, the beast smacked hmi across his head with a tentacle soundly once again knocking him out.

Flair was hoarse from yelling so much and the beast finally reeled her in. And her worst nightmare had come real. It was clear now it was going to shove her right in through the horrible puckered mouth !

And if she thought this dimension stunk, it was even worse as she got closer to the thing's maw which seemed puckered and filled with !!! - crap ! She turned her head away in complete revulsion.

She struggled and pulled hard to get away from the thing when suddenly the smaller lighter-colored tentacle from above whipped out and feeling around her, finally tapped a sharp barb into her neck. She coughed once and felt numb and sleepy all over. In moments she couldn't move a muscle though she was still conscious if seriously light-headed from the stab.

The beast then rolled onto the ground so it's mouth was facing up and with 3 of the tentacles, lowering her feet first onto the base of it's horrid puckered lips. Her toes were at once sucked inside and it felt like warm pudding had covered them over. The tentacles then retracted dropping her there.

She fell on her side against the top of the beast and was feeling really dizzy when suddenly she felt something sting sharply against her face. She just wanted to sleep despite the danger, but struggled against the toxin.

It was Captain Corrigan slapping her cheek to get her attention ! She looked around now and saw that for some strange reason all of the tentacles had collapsed to the sides yet she was still being devoured from the toes up straight into the wretched thing !

He had climbed up the round surface of the creature and apparently it wasn't even aware of him. He pulled on her arms to get her free but it was no good and after a moment he realized she was now in past her ankles.

"Soldier." he said grimly, "I don't know how long this beast is going to be still. I can't rouse the others, they may have been hit harder than us. This thing has got you good and it seems like I can't pull you free, either. I'm going to cut around you just below the ankles to get you loose. I can't promise a perfect incision. okay ? Are you ready ?"

The beast heaved once and suddenly Johnston's calves promptly vanished into the rubbery maw followed by a thin trail of brown liquid oozed out the sides. Corrigan looked away and retched. Then he faced Johnston, determined to rescue her now.

"It feels funky." she said, her voice slurring but returning. Apparently the venom she was given by the beast earlier was temporary and only used to quieten the prey.

"I said are you ready girl !?" Corrigan shouted.

"Yessir !" she said, trying to recover her own strength and awareness.

"Very well, this may hurt a bit." He then pulled forth a vibra-knife from his side. But no sooner did he unsheath it, there was a strange reaction to this dimension. It was magnetically drawn to the sky ! He let go of it or he would've been dragged up to the heavens as well !

"Now what ?" she asked miserably. The beast heaved again and slurped her up past her knees. She raised up to a standing position, hoping to make it easier for the captain. More brown oozed from inside, this time more pudding than liquid.

"Ohh ... That feels - weird." she said and shuddered, the muscles in her arms were still unable to function and flopping to the side uselessly. It felt like thousands of fingers or - no - tongues were tasting her legs from inside the beast.

"Stay with me !" Corrigan said and his voice was frantic. he was going to lose one of his important teammates and he was running out of ideas. "I - I can blast it !"

"No," she said in panic, "Remember, they said not to use any of our firearms in here or it could disrupt the whole fabric of this dimension !"

"I've got to try to free you somehow, right !? Now stand - perfectly - still !" he pulled out his gun but apparently whatever material it was made out of was also drawn into the sky. He was baffled by what could do such a thing but didn't dare pull anything else out.

"Fine goddamit ! Just fine !" he yelled up to the sky in frustration. Then he faced his trapped soldier again, "Okay, I'm going to try to pull you free again !" and with that he grabbed her arms and pulled.

The beast belched a nasty vapor, like a dozen backed up toilets. Flair groaned sickly. Corrigan was losing his patience, apparently unaware she was drugged by the thing. "Try and get your feet out of there, girl ! Work with me on this !"

She became aware of sensations now. "I can feel my legs now but I can't move them. It feels like they're stuck in quicksand, and it's very stick-ee !" she whined.

Corrigan was unsympathetic, "Try goddamit ! Pull ! Your life depends on it, girl !"

"Uuugh !" she struggled against it while the captain pulled on her legs. Suddenly the small lighter colored vine whipped out and reached for him ! The one with the poison barb that hit him earlier !

"Watch it Cap ! That's what got me earlier !" she told him.

He didn't know what she meant but grabbed the vine with both hands just the same and held it away from himself. Impossibly the vine stretched from his fingertips like the world's finest elastic rubber and in seconds tapped the captain on his forehead despite his best effort to ward off it's attack.

The tentacle retracted leaving a little red dot on his forehead.

She watched to see the captain's eye pupils roll up at an alarming height, smile stupidly at her, and then as if all his muscles gave out, to fall back rolling right off the rubbery bulk of the behemoth.

"No." Johnston said quietly. The beast rumbled happily from deep inside being free of the walking annoyance and heaved again, and this time it was a slow and steady pace. She was easily being slurped in the rectal maw an inch every few seconds now !

"No no no !" she said and wriggled her torso, pushing against the bulk beneath her for leverage. But it was no good. Her muscles burned with the effort and it felt like the drug was seeping into her skin from beneath her.

Suddenly the beast raised up and because of the venom in her, she grew nauseous at the dizzying movements, twirled her head spasmodically for a moment, and finally lost consciousness ...
