I've already done a full fan-fiction on Lost Saucer, and am finishing Lost In Space. Had one scheduled for Buck Rogers, but I think at this time with the popularity of the recent movies, Star Wars would be desired. I'll post the opening chapter tomorrow (03-21-17). It will be directly continuing after Star Wars 4 (or just Star Wars if you like that title better). . . . "It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Understand I'm doing with this with the knowledge you, KARMA, will write each EVEN chapter (2, 4, 6, 8) and I will write the odd ones (1, 3, 5, 7). Took about an hour to do. I hope to see something from you by Wednesday, Karma. In any case, if it does take 2-weeks for you to write a single chapter (as has been the case so far). I'll accept what you have, post it, but continue writing the rest of the story myself as readers really don't like to wait longer than a week for any chapter to any story to be posted. That is unless you can show me you can write at least one chapter a week. However, as its length is still considerably smaller than any chapter I've ever written, I will have to put it in a subtext. If you don't want this, you still have plenty of time to add details to it. Failing that, "karma" is precisely what you will see from the readers. :) dw817 1 Hour Ago Well, thought I would give you one more day's grace to see if you would update anything - but there is no change. In your brief start to a chapter, you still have spelling errors, grammar errors, and it is way too short to qualify as a true chapter to any book except for the very young. I'll go to write the chapter 2 for Star Wars The Force Within now. I'll include what you wrote as I promised that, but afterwards I think I better take the reins ... Now, I promised I would include what she wrote, but I believe you, as the reader, will not especially like it. So I will wrap and work it into my own chapter 2 as a sub-story, which I will now pen below. And that's fine. We can't always get what we want or have what we don't. This just encourages me to be a stronger writer ... IN MEMORY OF OBI-WAN Han was now approaching the restrooms and tried the men's door, to find it locked. He knocked on the door, "Luke ? Are you there buddy ? Are you feeling okay ?" There was silence. But it was a strange silence. To Han it sounded like the spaces between the eerie breathing that Darth Vader did. He felt cold. He touched one wrist to another and they felt wet and clammy. But he was a space fighter, and a smuggler in the finest degree ! He shouldn't be scared of a little silence from a friend. Nonetheless, he tapped on the door a little quieter, "Luke ?" The door finally opened and Luke stepped out. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just - I need some time to think." Han nodded. "You know, you only just met him." Luke looked down at the floor. Was it that obvious ? "Han, you don't understand. I had Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, and they died just yesterday. In the home I grew up in on Tatooine. Killed by Vader's storm troopers." Han couldn't help but put a supportive hand behind Luke now.  He really has been through a lot. But he kept silent so Luke could let it all out. Luke was in tears now and wailed like a small boy. "Obi-Wan-Kenobi, he was like a Father, one I never had ! I know that I only knew him in less than a day's time. But I felt a closeness to him, more so than any person I had ever met." Luke recalled the events. "He mentioned there was a Force. Something that surrounds us, guides us. It flows between us." He fingered the light-saber, still connected to his belt. He remembered how he could face and defend against that Marksman-H Combat Remote with a light-saber back on the Millennium Falcon - even when he put on the helmet and couldn't see anything ! Han laughed, "That old wizard said and believed many things. I still say a fully charged blaster by your side is the best religion you'll ever find in this world, kid." "But there is another ..." Luke said ethereally and his voice trailed off and his eyes took in the distance. Han waited a moment. Luke wouldn't explain so he asked, "Another what ?" "Another - another someone ... someone family to me. But while I feel I am going up the stairs of life, for some strange reason they are going down them, literally walking backwards." Han smiled, "How can they see where they are going ?" Luke looked to Han with anger. At first he thought he was making fun of his "vision," but no. He was just concerned about him and wanted to see that he was well. Luke reeled against the wall. Han followed to make sure he wouldn't collapse. Han recalled the battle of Obi-Wan and Vader. Even he saw Vader cut him down. "Look, Obi-Wan was a big help. He shut down the force field generator for the Millennium and bought us the time we needed to get away from there. His death wasn't in vain." "It's too much to take in all at once." Luke countered. Han grinned, "Is it too much to also take in that you are the hero of the universe ? You saved the Alliance !" He beamed a wide grin to Luke hoping to cheer him. Then he looked up, rolling his eyes for a second. "Well, you, me, Chewie, those two robots, and Leia. They were all part of saving the rebellion, too." "I'll be alright." Luke said woodenly. Han was crestfallen by the tone of his voice. He was hoping to ask Luke to join him in his adventures of a space pirate. To see the galaxy. But now was not the time to pursue that. Not at this time. Perhaps later when Luke wasn't so caught up in events. Han coughed to clear his throat. "Well, there's still a bit of celebration going on. Wash up if you need to, and join us. While this is a great victory for us, it's clear more action will be needed." Luke looked up and straight at Han, "But you're not going to be here, are you ?" Han shuffled his feet uncomfortably, "Luke. There's a price on my head. Now that I've been paid in full, I just need to go see Jabba and give him that money. Once I've done that I promise I'll return and we can continue to battle what's left of the Empire. I want to see them gone too," and he smiled, "cause they're bad for business." Han looked to Luke to see if he had any more to say. He didn't. He walked back to the celebration leaving Luke alone in the hallway. Luke went back in the bathroom and looked at the mirror. Everything seemed alright. His eyes were a bit red from crying. But the more he stared at his reflection, the more it seemed there was some dark apparition behind him. Back at the celebration, Leia caught up with Han. "Is he okay ?" she asked. * * * Han rubbed the back of his neck ruefully. "Yeah, he's fine. He's a tough kid though and had a lot to handle. If he didn't tell you, he also lost both of his parents yesterday too. Killed by storm troopers, likely back at Tatooine where him and that crazy wizard met us at Eisley." For some time now, Leia was not thinking too highly of Luke and his great rescue. Now seeing that he was dealing not only with his parents' death but perhaps the closest thing he could have to a real Father, Obi-Wan, and seeing him die as well. Well, the boy must really be a lot braver than she gave credit for. "He's really strong." she found she could only say. Han nodded. "You got that straight, princess." There was a guttural moan behind him. It was Chewbacca. He had apparently found something. Han looked and it was a clipping from one of those sensationalist magazines. The ones that claim to foresee the future of the Empire. He glanced over it briefly: During the feast,the rebeals had in filtrated there system an planning to distroy everything.As they hack the system they found a major attack plan.As they were looking over it they went an disguise as some soldier. They was hopeing to hear Dark Vader plan,but instead they heared the leader tell it.As they heared it they had to make a plan to stop it.they wwent over to the side an discussed there plan.They went to the ships and sabotage the ship an got out of there as fast as they can. It was penned simply by, "Karma." Han indulged himself in a smile, "That's one way to see things I suppose." Chewie then spoke several choice trilling tones. Han set down the clipping and frowned, "No, I hadn't forgotten, Chewie." Then he looked back to Leia. "Look, your worship, I gotta go. As you know there's a price on my head. Every day I delay could be my last. Once I pay off Jabba, I'll be back to help though." "Is that a promise ?" Leia said leaning especially close to Han. Han smiled wide. Ever the dashing and handsome space pirate that he was. She came in even closer. He leaned down and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. At first Leia wanted to pull away, especially with all the derogatory statements he earlier made to her back on the Death Star. But she stilled herself and just enjoyed the moment to be so close to him in this rare and tender moment ... . . . Back in space Vader was reaching for his controls to call someone. Before his finger could even hit the button, a transmission was coming in. And for the slightest moment, Vader's breathing apparatus seemed to gasp in fright. An ominous and dark voice boomed out. "Vader, I'm here." If Vader could've shown fear in his eyes, he most certainly would've. "Master." he said simply. He didn't bother with an explanation, alibis, or otherwise. Palpatine his master was surely aware of all that happened. Palpatine spoke. "There was more than bad aiming that prevented you from shooting down that single X-Wing fighter, Vader. The one that launched a torpedo through the unprotected exhaust of the Death Star." "Master ?" "Search your heart, Anakin. Search your feelings. You were weak ! You should've been perfectly aware of that rogue ship that intervened causing you to spin out of control. No, you should've blasted that pilot into so much space dust ! And because of your inability to do so, you alone are the direct cause of the destruction of the Death Star." Vader could only cowl, "Yes, my master." Palpatine softened his tone. "But it is no matter. As you were thinking earlier, and as I read your thoughts now, it may just put the rebels into a false sense of security. This could be used to our advantage. Instead of shooting down a single planet of resistance, we can destroy them once and for all !" Vader was quiet to let Palpatine continue. "Return to Star Destroyer D-14. I'm sending you the coordinates. Once there, I will meet up with you and we will see together how to handle the last of the Resistance." Vader continued to maintain respectful silence. Palpatine cackled after a moment and spoke eerily, "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen."
