Caldera is about a young girl who goes off her medication and leaves a bleak metropolis to immerse herself in a vibrant oceanic cove. Ultimately, the story is about the young girl’s impossible predicament, where she can not live in either the fantastical and haunting world of psychosis or in the marginalizing society that mandates her medication.

Someone once asked what it was like for me to be psychotic.
I asked, "You mean, where I'm not taking my meds ?"
"Yes."
And - at the time I didn't have a ready answer for them as it was hard to describe.
Today I can easily say this video surmises it quite well. When you are on your meds, the world is gray and drab, you feel listless, sleepy, and inattentive.
When you are off of your meds, you hear and see things that just aren't there - fantastic, frightening, beautiful, and magical. And you'd do anything to stay in that world and the people in it even to committing suicide to join with them.
If you are on anti-psychotic medications yourself, don't stop. Your life is valued not upon what you feel of it but for others feelings for you, and that is immeasurable ...
