These reviews are Rated: EVERYONE

(108-minutes)
Fantasy, Adventure, CGI

(2010) ALICE IN WONDERLAND (PG)

[1] Bottom line, I'm sorry but its not five stars. I'm giving this film a star for each of: One for great selection of actors and costumes. One for great backgrounds (depressing that they were) and special effects. One for great primary, background, and credit music.

No re-watch value whatsoever, except for the haunting ending credit music which is thoroughly enchanting alone by itself.

The good news is, maybe someone will realize how terrible this film turned out, for its threadbare plot and inability to follow the tried and true story, and be forced by process of eliminating bad ideas, make a better version that could be made in the future. I await that day eagerly.

(125-minutes)
Action, Adventure, Superhero

(1997) BATMAN & ROBIN (PG-13)

[2] Having had a chance to see this again. Perhaps my rating was from a different time period.

Batman Begins and Dark Knight changed all that. Now, if Batman is supposed to represent camp and overblown special effects via the Adam West era, then particular movie is a worthy entry.

However, if it was supposed to be serious film, worthy of the initial outing with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, then it falls desperately short of adequate. Fun to watch, lots of pretty lights, explosions, lasers, sparkling effects, and superhero costumes to rival the best pre-teen Japanese cosplay out there.

However, NO re-watch value whatsoever. If you've never seen it, you should, to see a director's disaster that's stacked well into a million-dollar budget.

(8-episodes)
Cartoon, Kids, Series

(2007) EDGAR & ALLEN SEASON 1 (G)

[3] I really didn't care for this. My G/F wanted to see it though because of it's apparent delving into the dark side. Big disappointment for both of us. No likeable characters, really. Stories not really creative or interesting.

Very bland. No re-watch value whatsoever. Maybe one star is harsh. Perhaps 1 & 1/2. Your kids and you might fall asleep though watching it, waiting for a plot or SOMETHING to occur in it.

(122-minutes)
Superhero, Horror, Vampires

(2007) RISE: BLOODHUNTER (R)

[4] This may not be for all of you. Lucy Liu plays a Blade-wannabe. Really very well done. Definitely not for kids. Exceptional acting and presentation. Not for the weak of heart. 4 stars from me on this little slice of life, or un-life, as the case might be.

If you're into vampire movies, you should not miss this video.

(87-minutes)
Psychiatric, Delusional, Mental Ward

(2001) K-PAX (PG-13)

[5] Having seen this film several years ago, I found myself hungering for it again. Quite possibly the greatest film of all time, in any serious intellectual category.

Deeply impressive, highly believable delusional, PROT (pr-oh-t), self-admitted mental patient in the care of a most compassionate psychiatrist, sees things in unique visions unlike anyone else.

Questions our beliefs and faiths and what it is that holds us together as humankind. A clear conscience and open door to both our hearts and constructs about our future, our generation, and our society.

Raises many concerns within ourselves additionally. Our greatest writings, our greatest visions, for the future and beyond. An epoch video, and it's re-watch value is like none before it.

You must see it to experience it. The soundtrack (background music) is also one of the best I have heard in a long long time.

(20-episodes)
Appalling, Puppets, Celebrity Guests

(2007) THE BRONX BUNNY SHOW (MA)

[6] Wow. This is bad. I mean, really REALLY bad. Have to admit tho, haven't seen too many flicks with puppets balling prostitutes. Well, if you that melts your butter, than this series is for you.

However, if you DON'T think that's funny and prefer only suggestive themes with interesting plots, then stick with Family Guy, Cleveland Show, or even Stripperella.

(104-minutes)
Sci-Fi, Anime, Robot Battles

(2007) APPLESEED: EX MACHINA (PG-13)

[7] Totally EPIC. Imagine Final Fantasy Spirits Within, Chronicles Of Riddick, The Matrix, and maybe a little TRON thrown in for good measure. Calling this ANIME is an understatement.

The technique they use in here is as good or BETTER than the new CGI films you've seen recently.

And the series of Appleseed has been out a long time too, since its first publication in Japan at 1985, its amazing and inspiring to see how far they've come. This video also has definite re-watch value.

The action, music, and players, are nothing short of mesmerizing. The players in it are also very likeable and believable; outstanding actors and actresses. Now, this movie is also spoken in your choice of Japanese or English. However, that shouldnt slow you down too much.

5 well deserved stars for this Sci-Fi masterpiece !

(13-episodes)
Kinky, Superhero, Animated

(2003) STRIPPERELLA (PG-13)

[8] OK, this show is really REALLY stupid that is also well animated, well laminated, and well lubricated.

The humor is obvious, the citizens are complete inept morons, and the bad-guys (and girls) she fights are complete losers. The animation is tasteless and chauvinistic. Now, as for Stripperella's BAD points, I couldn't find any which is why I'm giving it 4 stars !

(52-episodes)
Disney, Kids, Magic, Consequences, Animation

(2006) THE REPLACEMENT (G)

[9] Wow ! What a great little cartoon series from Disney !

Imagine how it would be if you got your wish when you made it as a kid, to replace someone you didn't like. It seems perfect at the time, and it would solve all your problems, right?

This show goes to show you that even if you get a magic wish for this, it may not be what you really wanted, and oftentimes worse than if you changed yourself instead of someone else !

Likeable characters, great re-watch value, all in all, a nice, new series, definitely for kids with an important message to tell, Try and change the way you look at things before you attempt to change someone else.

(98-minutes)
Horror, Shocking, Cult

(2007) TEETH (R)

[10] This is a scary one for the guys.

Imagine a sweet young innocent girl involved in not so innocent boys and men, and if shes not happy with their performance, she NIPS IT IN THE BUD.

Definitely a serious, shocking, and convincing film with believable actors. Don't need to see it again, but I must admit, it was portrayed and played ice cold and correct.

Next Tuesday I will do 10-more dreams and alternative between this subject (my movie reviews) and that.

Hm. I actually really liked Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland. It had a couple of twists to it that I liked from the original Disney movie. Of course now they're coming out with newer ones like Maleficent (with Angelina Jolie), Snow White and the Huntsman, etc. But oh my lord The Replacements. I haven't watched it in ages; If I can recall I remember watching it when I was little. Appleseed looks quite interesting though.

Honestly, I could do without most of these movies and cartoons. They're not necessarily my cup of tea. I haven't seen the wannabee Blade movie. Therefore, I can't really comment on it, other than the fact, that not every vampire movie is good. Take Queen Of The Damned and Twilight for 2 examples. They're both s****y vampire movies but their soundtracks are good. I'll even admit to saying some of the Underworld movies suck. I'm very picky about what I watch. LOL!

Yeah, it sure can.
Completely agree about Batman and Robin as well as KPax. epic movie!!! I need to watch Alice in Wonderland. Have not seen it. Recent movies I've really really liked "Instructions not Included" about a playboy living in Acapulco who has fatherhood thrust upon him. It's funny, it's sad, and it's not what you think it is. "Frozen" I think Disney must've somehow brought Walt back from the dead, because this movie is the first I"ve seen in a long time worthy of his name.
