What happened today ?

Well Rose called and sure enough she was proud as punch that she served up a whole dish of candy to many Trick Or Treaters yesterday. 22 in all !

She said most of them were little girls dressed up as Disney princesses. One was dressed like Ariel from Little Mermaid she thought was especially cute, with pink sparkly shoes that lit up when she walked in them Rose described to me.

I sometimes wonder if parents spoil children so their kids can have what they didn't have growing up. In a way making sure their own children get the good stuff they couldn't have or couldn't afford. Perhaps the happiness of the children reflected on the parents to make them feel better about their own spent youths ?

Hmm ... Something to think about.

Chris point blank said NO he didn't want to go to a haunted house yesterday so - I didn't push the issue. And I didn't have any Trick Or Treaters here anyways. Gave one M&M to Teddy my hamster tho, he liked it.

And - I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow bright and early. I know when I last got my vision checked and new glasses I was told that I'm going cross-eyed and my prescription was adjusted for this. Now my right eye seems kinna purple compared to the blue-green one and it stings a bit too.

So I'll see my family doctor, get a checkup, and see what he has to say about it.

Once I get back I'll post your new Saturday Surprise. And - it's called a Surprise for a reason, you won't know until I post it ! :D

And with that, have a great (and getting late) evening and see you on the morrow ...

That is an incredible quote. It applies to me. Not that I go around making enemies or holding grudges. But I don't forget when someone deliberately hurts me.
And the value I place on my friendships is immeasurable.

I was just looking this up in Google but now I can't find it. It must've been a quote I heard in one of my dreams, possibly from my Guardian.

While I don't think it applies to me, perhaps to those people who can't find help - find it within themselves to become stronger to deal with problems in their lives. I know my sister has what she calls, "street sense," so she puts up with nothing from nobody. I never was that way.

I'm always the quiet mediator, trying to find peace in the wake of an argument or dispute.
