What happened today ?
Actually something dreadful happened over the weekend. I lost my keys.
Yep, I mean it. The whole nice ring with all the little cute key-chain fobs and other goodies I've collected for years. Lost it good and proper. I mean I really spent some time looking - long hours. It had to be somewhere between my mailbox and the grocery store me and Rose go to.
Anyways, I since reported it to the police. They contacted the security for my apartment complex and then they contacted the landlady who met me personally. She came by, opened up the door for me and Rose and earlier today they changed out my lock and gave me a new key.
Hmm ... Well, I guess that means I'm gonna start carrying my keys on a ring on my main carry case, the one I always have with me which is too darned big to lose and I'm always wearing it around my shoulder.
Chris calls it my man sack. I said that's not very nice. He says how about your purse then ? Hmm ... I can't really say it's that either, more of one of those neat little carry cases you can put several CDs in. Anyways, it's gotta shoulder strap and I've never lost it yet - so - I'll connect my new keys to that.
Outside of the excitement and rather extensive exercise I received in searching for my lost keys, we hadda nice weekend. Saw some more episodes of, "Life Of Louie," watched the full, "Colossus - The Forbin Project," which I highly recommend as an outstanding science fiction movie about computer world control.
Some of, "Suckers," which is an interesting film about human psychology, mostly on it's detrimental behavior, and then "The Monkey's Paw," and "Creepshow 2," (which I didn't have too much of an interest in as that's all horror film stuff, but was definitely Rose's kinna films.
Chris came by to visit me late Sunday evening and we had tacos and watched Family Guy. We may also go to this neat haunted house that's not too far from here tomorrow (Tuesday).
And - that was my weekend !
Also, if you missed it, I put in simple computer code that you can click and paste to add any of 25 neat Halloween Decorations for the season directly into your profile page. It's not too late to do it !
You can find that and the instructions on adding them HERE.
Other than that tomorrow I'll post 10-more movie reviews of mine and go from there ! Have a great evening everyone ...
Are you holding onto something today that you need to let go of ?
Wow, this question speaks out to me, right now in my life, especially.
Work - I decided to let go of something that seemed "secure", in trade for my own peace of mind and happiness. I feel it is the right decision, despite it bringing new challenges.
Family life - I - NEED to move away and allow my mother to be independent of me. I will always support her, but I need my space, too.

As for your family, I would not move too far away from them. In our youth, it is our parents who take steps to greet us. As we get older, we are both met in travels, older still, it is us to up to meet them as they are settling in their roots.
Older last - we solemnly approach their last resting place, the seeds of tomorrow, the fruit we must bear for them ... make the happy years of your life last, Jed. Time with family is too precious to let it slip through one's fingers ...
