What happened today ?

Pretty well peaceful. I know - I stayed up late and I'm definitely feeling it now, very tired. I guess I got to talking to Susan for a few hours and usually that doesn't happen, especially with the news meds I'm on.


Anyways, she was trying to explain some important things to me. I don't know what possessed her to carry on the way she did, but she did make a bit of sense about some things though although it was a little hard to follow. She finally simplified it and said the reason my thumb is the way it is, is because the 4-fingers next to it EXPECT it to be that way.

If for any reason my thumb tries to go out on it's own, against the grain of the universe, those 4-fingers will put it right back in it's place, at the expense of my pain (the price of being independent).


That's why my thumb stays the way it does.

This actually answered quite a bit ! I keep thinking about the past and bullies and what she is saying is, even had I fought them, it wouldn't have made any difference. They were the 4-fingers to my thumb and everything about me today is because of the structure of society around me. There is a patterning to the discipline they gave me and I was kept on the groove so I wouldn't stray.

Oh I'm capable of independent thought, but when you look at the big picture, these people who scream, yell, shout, act out, or commit suicide. Sure, they create waves, they definitely create a disturbance, maybe even make the news, but eventually - eventually the tides of time will wash over it and the stream is cleaned and new again.


There is an eternal tide. It is not so much the universe is silent but that the white noise generator of it is turned up REALLY loud ! :)

These were some things I was definitely not considering until she brought them up.

So - I'm a little tired today staying up so late. After I see my Dr tomorrow I can certainly go ahead and post just those rodeo pictures I was talking about yesterday and let you know what all happened Sunday when I was with Chris, but - tomorrow.

I also see Rose this weekend so your Saturday surprise for this week will be on a Friday.


Can't think of much more than that. Cooler days are ahead. Dress to where you are comfortable, not necessarily how you expect others to want you to appear. Few friends judge you by your outside appearance but by your inner beauty and spirit.

Hmmm, two questions, is it?

I have my secrets in life. I don't feel I need to worry, as the person I am today is important.

When I have gotten down about things, I certainly have benefited from the closeness of a friend to talk to. I often think I reach my own conclusions and decisions, but actually, it's a kind thing to allow your friend the opportunity to help you.

If you never call on the help of a friend, do they really know you feel you can rely on them?

Of course, we carry our own loads in life and don't need others to make decisions for us, but it really helps to talk things through and express how you're feeling to someone at times.

Well now Jed, with certain elements in people's lives, especially recently, I think we need all the help from our friends we can get.

I know - you have something tragic happen in your life and it feels like the end of the world. And I've been there. And I did something rash - but I don't feel so bad about it. I REALLY did not have anyone to turn to.

If I did, really did, maybe - maybe things would've been different.

Always and ever hold on to your true friends. Even if you are leaving one place to enter another, please never forget those behind you. Because while you may have closed a door, they are still there, wondering, waiting - and you can still be there for them just as they are for you. :)
