What happened today ?
Somedays, I don't know if Loretta is coming on a Thursday or Friday to visit so I have to be ready in any case. She didn't show up today so she will definitely be in the morrow. I gotta notice from my other doctor so it's time to update my medical plan and I need to go over it with her.
Anyways, tomorrow I'm sorta taking off. I'll post a new Barrier and PTP chapter but mostly I'll be organizing some of my writing in here. I need to (keep telling myself this), go through the first writing I did and work my way up, check and make sure all comments are replied to.
Then check my clickable buttons and links and stuff to make sure they all work as I've gotten better since I first started, and go from there. Maybe even update THIS link.
Other than that, I really haven't even poked my head out the front door today altho my neighbor is always a busybody and he's been in out and 6-7 times so far.
If anything I know I make an excellent hermit when I'm not planning on seeing anyone and likely if you ever do pay a visit, looking around my place it will show. *Grin* Have a good and safe evening, pplz.
What is something you know you do differently than most other people ?
Not sure. I'm nothing special.
I guess, the way I play tennis is unorthodox in many ways. I'm a reactive player who plays better under pressure and I raise my game when others do the same. My groundstrokes are mainly my own invention, and are not textbook in many ways from technical aspects, but after some coaching in recent years, I'm merged my own techniques into something better. PLenty of improvements needed, still, but I enjoy my tennis more when I'm going for my shots.
Chess, on the other hand, I like to play a clever mixture of defense and offense. Most people I know are either one or the other.

There are actually several things I know now that I do differently
from a lot of people. .. read moreThere are actually several things I know now that I do differently
from a lot of people.
One - I breathe very shallow, one full breath over 3-seconds. My psychiatrist says that I am starving my brain for oxygen so I am 'high' all the time. Unfortunately if I try to breathe regularly today I hyperventilate and pass out.
Two - I blink my eyes very infrequently. I don't like to miss much in the world and every time I blink I think I'm missing that much of the world. I can beat anyone in a staring contest for hours if I so choose. It was quite the lifesaver back in High School. They thought I was a freak or something.
Three - I don't understand my boundaries. My doctor is working with me on this so complete strangers just don't come up and hug me or touch me in some way that is inappropriate which can be a problem in grocery stores. When I'm with Rose though, she usually yells at them for what they are doing. I'm not sure if Rose is so much protective as a jealous girlfriend today. And usually she does drag me away by my ear - literally, which hurts in more ways than one - and it usually does end whatever interaction was taking place.
Four - I have an effeminate voice. Really. I don't know why. It's made me a good candidate for jobs who need an office manager though because my voice is considered pleasant and easy on the ears. I was told this by my last employer at a business firm years ago and ran the main desk for calls.
Five - I don't like to argue. Ever. I will capitulate, give in, concede, surrender, call it what you will, I hate conflict and will do my level best to avoid it. I have enough nightmares about conflicts involving screaming and people getting hurt without ever wanting to bring them in the real world.
Six - I wake up on an average 6-10 times a night. This has been beneficial for my dream diary as every time I wake up I can speak into it and record a new dream. I later found out that if I was given meds to ensure a full night's sleep, I am too wired, hyper, and giddy the next day. Rose will attest to this and insist I be tied down. So - I am expected to keep my regular sleep cycle of waking up several times with multiple dreams if that's what it takes.
Seven - I can go a LONG time without drinking water during the day. Rose calls me the camel when we are out and about, that plus the fact I carry all the packages. Water oddly has never been essential to me. I get thirsty, but I can stave it off from morning till evening if I so choose to. I'm not sure if it's a matter of mind over matter or just I have an efficient system.
Eight - I can get very emotional listening to music, scenting an odor or chemical in a building, or having a flashback from the past. I'm on anti-psychotics to avoid this but I don't think it's entirely helpful at times.
Nine - I have conversations with people that aren't there. I do this with Susan quite often (and my sister more recently) but my doctor says now (he didn't say it before), that it's perfectly normal and as long as they don't tell me to do anything dangerous, it should be alright.
Ten - Chess. I greatly value my knights in chess. Perhaps other people might too, but I value a single knight higher than the queen and that might be considered different than most other people.
There are other oddities about me I'm pretty sure no-one else has, but that's prolly enough for now. :)
