This is the first in a series of chapters I will write down
for each evening if I can remember (or am reminded to) from a much larger set I was working on in a different website (now defunct) these past few years.
They will each include the original images I had those years ago and the accompanied text or question.
While
they start out fairly small and innocuous, over time they will
cover some deep, reflective, and I'm thinking, helpful territory. I hope you are here
to ponder each one as they arrive signalling the end of the
day for me in WC and a much desired fresh start for the new morning.
To what degree have you
actually controlled the course your life has taken ?

I think I'm reactive more often than being pro-active. But every now and again I surprise myself, and where a good outcome results, it makes me happy to know that I had a hand in my own shaping.
I reflect often, and am glad that the person I am comes from the interactions I have with others. I say I'm happy with it being like that.
I've learned not to compare myself to others and look at what makes me happy. I'd rather be happy than rich, for example. I would rather be content than stressed.
What's important to me are things that obviously don't apply to anyone else in exactly the same way, and so, I do feel that I assess and analyse situations well enough, and let my instincts and gut feel lead me to the facts, and then act on them. So, I'm a mix of two trains of thought, I'd say.

I like that, rather be Happy than Rich. I can definitely agree with you there. I do remember however.. read moreI like that, rather be Happy than Rich. I can definitely agree with you there. I do remember however, my Dad telling me years ago, you may not like money, Andrew, but money gives you something that can be bought and is useful.
I asked, what is that ?
He said, Freedom. The freedom to do what you want to. You have the money to give you the freedom to go where you want do, do what you want to, and work on the things you want to. Money gives you that.
And, today ? Well ... Money seems even less important than ever. I think the greatest wealth anyone can ever have in the world is PEACE OF MIND. And sometimes - that can only come from within. :)
