The Dream Machine (Fan-fiction)
A Book by dw817
Perhaps my favorite from the series was Lost Saucer, starring Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi, and the madcap adventures they had traveling across the galaxy with two kids they picked up from Earth.

Like you, I used to wake up early in the morning and watch the best of Saturday Morning cartoons, and amongst these were the incredible and unstoppable episodes from the creative minds of Sid & Marty Krofft. Perhaps my favorite from the series was Lost Saucer, starring Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi and their madcap adventures across the galaxy with two kids.
It is only recently since I started to dream more - effectively, have my nightmares started to diminish and I am starting to have good, better, and crazier dreams now. And that is a good thing !
The dream I had last night was a doozy ! It was like I was watching a missing episode of Lost Saucer and it involves Fi and Fum getting magnetically stuck to each other as the two kids land on an alien's planet surface to find a repair person to help them - only to find that HUMAN DREAMS are literally worth their weight in gold.
What follows is an introduction as to how Jerry and Alice find the flying saucer in their front yard and are invited inside.
This is not the first time I've hadda dream about a missing episode from a TV series. I know this happened with Star Trek and Blake's 7 and the Blake's 7 I wrote down and it's about 70-pages and I'll post it here at some point.
Anyways, I also checked on the internet and could not find any fan-stories of Lost Saucer - so I guess this is a first !
Enjoi !

Wow, I completely missed this show!!! Too bad, I love Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi and Science Fiction was my main love in books and stories. Wonder how I missed it? The only Sid and Marty show I really remember is HR Puffnstuff. I kinda liked it, I don't know why. LOL

The Bugaloos, Lidsville, Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, Land Of The Lost (immensely popular), Far Out Space Nuts w Bob Denver from Gilligan's Island, Lost Saucer of course, my favorite, Wonderbug, Bigfoot & Wildboy, Dr. Shrinker, Kaptain Kool & The Kongs, and my earlier favorite, Electra Woman & Dyna Girl, followed by Horror Hotel, The Lost Island, Magic Mongo, and The Banana Splits Adventure Hour.
Lesser known to children S&MK had regular spots on Family Affair, D.C. Follies, Pryor's Place, Barbara Mandell & The Mandrell Sisters, The Brady Bunch Hour, Donny & Marie, and they did puppets on the Dean Martin Show.
If I had to choose the series that would be easiest for someone to write a fan-story to, it would be Far Out Space Nuts. They seldom had a plot at all, taught anything useful, and just wound up bumbling around each other on alien planets doing silly things and occasionally getting a cream pie in the face. Great fun for the kids though. :D
