Tempest At NoonA Poem by kelsie newman
The sea may swallow my body whole,
if she would like. Drag me down to live amongst the sea creatures, so beautiful and mysterious. Sweep me by Atlantis, so that I may introduce myself to the mermaids. Push and pull me through the warm shallow waters, down into the chilly arctic water. The sea may take my body, a kind offering to the beautiful mistress who keeps her secrets held so tightly in her deep, dark waters. With the moon and the stars as my guides, as my travel companions, the sea may have my body, if she would like.
