WonderlandA Poem by kelsie newmanDown the rabbit hole, through the looking glass, into the
trap, tumbled, fell, landed right in his lap. He said my, my what beautiful blue eyes, he was just a wolf in disguise. He took my heart, he took my hand, and whisked me off to wonderland. He said my, my what beautiful colors you are made up of, as he painted me pictures of make believe and love. He wove tales about the glorious north star, and promised he would never be far. He's a black magic wielder, casting his spells, as my love for him swells. Oh, what a clever costume, the wolf as prince charming in order to consume. I fell for every delicate word and clever phrase, and quickly I slipped deeper and deeper into a daze. He took my hand and said, "Darling, I love you
so," "but you won't give me what I want, so I must go." My glorious wonderland turned into an unholy wasteland, beautiful meadows to rust and sand. © 2012 kelsie newmanReviews
