It Was Never You

I've been trying to leave for so long. Half-heartedly loving you and whole heartedly deceiving you and I am so sorry. You still love me. I can see it in your eyes as we pass in the halls and you try to talk to me and I pretend to be listening to my music. I'm horrible I know, my actions completely deplorable. I can't fathom why I do these things to you and to myself, because I suffer just the same, wracked with guilt. I'm forever sorry. You don’t make it easy on me though. You're cute, yes, and innocent as can be, but baby you aren't for me. The way you act and the things you say make me eternally frustrated. We're fundamentally different and that means we're not going to work. You and I are over. And we have been for a while, but darling how do I tell you, without breaking our hearts?
