Washed up

Washed up

A Poem by dukovan

Waves are crashing

into my bed,

of one hundred days,

and one hundred sleeps,

of a strangers dream

and all the day's I haven't met.

--------------------------------------------
Ships are flipping

upside down

into a new ghost town.

Its a long way down,

but only they know how

far it goes

----------------------------------------------

Wood is splitting

inside my chest.

like a lions heart,

washed on shore,

of my sun-white sand.

I show my teeth to the time that's left.
----------------------------------------------

I am pending apologies.
They stain my teeth.
I refrain to say the least.
They're eventually lost like everything.

I really like the sound of this and it has a "ghostly" feel to it. The images you've chosen are like dream images and conjure deep feelings. They don't give me the situational details of what brought this to the piece to the surface, but nonetheless give me a deep sense inner conflict and a time of self- reflection and a frustration.
