I'll wake you soon.

I'll wake you soon.

A Poem by dukovan
"

A couple characters.

"
I knocked over the glass, on my way through the dark.
You were half asleep and I was parched.
I swallowed my pride and drank from your body.
I'll wake you soon,
your living ghost, it still haunts me.

If you're alive for the moment,
or fast asleep in your bed,
I'll tell you either way,
that you can empty your head.

I stumbled around in a familiar room.
I knew I drank too much and forgot what to do.
My mouth stuck together,
I blamed my last dream.
The past has imposed,
so I'll impose on your sleep.

You owe me all of my moments,
and to listen to anything I say.
Its just because I'm an a*****e.
Its just because you feel everything.

So stumble around some more.
The curtains been dropping,
and your bottle is low.
After every sip theres one more.
The curtains still dropping,
we won the race to the floor.

For another theres another, makes a third for another and it goes.
"Your spilling on your sweater, take it off, you'll look much better."
"Just go".
Is it that you're lonely when you see yourself.
Naked, scared, just hold me in hell.

I need to wake you.
There's just one more thing to say.
We've said it a thousand times.
It doesn't mean the same.

A perfect example of good modern poetry. It's appreciated :)

this one has all the weight of your abstract pieces, without the "abstract" I think one of your best to date. Good stuff, well written.
