Tracks in the snow.

Tracks in the snow.

A Poem by dukovan
"

Coming to some real self realization about the weight I carry in my relationship.

"
I walk through September,
with hopes to remember whats gone.
Bound to my hip
my feet tend to slip when I'm wrong.

Now through October.
I'm another year older.
How long?
Bound to our aging,
I know all your faces,
whats wrong?

We shake off November,
bought ourselves sweaters, too long.
But you know we're still growing,
in hope, in each other,
even,
my songs.

A December to remember.
When you tell me whats wrong.
I swear I will remember
my heart,
is crossed.
And I'm still lost,
but you're tagging along.

Five winters ago,
our tracks in the snow.
Walking through trails,
we were making our ghosts.
Like our bodies, I swallowed whole.

I personally love this piece. The lingering feeling, the flipping of pages through months only vaguely remembered...beautiful. Though tis only my interpretaion.
