Doomed from the start.A Poem by dukovanWell weren't we?
So I'm doomed from the start,
as you rip me apart. You say I'm helpless, but I should help. Its the less that I want, is the more that I get. I'm a simple man, with a mind of s**t. Keeps building back up quick. I packed and I fed it a cure. There's a swollen branch, I cant seem to grasp, if I fall will I be heard? I always slip into times, where you always retrace my mind. There's a solo grip, where I tend to slip. But I'm fine, I'm fine, with it. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The curtains been calling me home. Ghost man on third like there's no future at all. But we just keep sliding, unsure of who's lying. You're safe before you're out. You say I'm but a tree in a field. "Trust the sun, the wind and you'll yield." But the sound keeps on coming, and I cant stop running. One less tree in the field. I tracked it much better I'm sure. There's a solo grip where I seem to slip, but I never really know for sure. Though I'll slip on the lines, time after time, after time. There's a solo grip where I tend to slip. And I'm fine, I'm fine, with it. ------------------------------------------------------------ I'm back and I'm better, I'm sure. Three days in a tomb, eyes adjusting to you. Let go of whoever we were. If its but a joke, I've got no place to go. If its all we know, then its home. I hope, in you. --------------------------------------------- I hope she was right with me. When I held her in my teeth. Towards senseless endanger, in the mouth of a stranger. I hope she was right with me. ---------------------------------------------- Though I'll slip into times. You're always retracing my mind. There's a solo grip, where I tend to slip. I'm fine. I'm fine, with it. © 2011 dukovan |
