Holidays as optionsA Poem by dukovan
I finished your alimony
and packed your clothes Bagged up the goldfish and asked you to stay. I spent the first year raking leaves, all year. I used a shovel. I buried the hatchet, and dug it up on Thanksgiving. I wonder if we fossilize. Or if memories do, or if they hide behind rocks casting shadows half the day. I waited for a full moon and made a wish on a bone. Buried it and prayed for rain. The past looks like the future sometimes. That's courage calling you forward.
