The kitchen sink

The kitchen sink

A Poem by dukovan

To tell the truth, I always do this to myself
Paying time off, waiting
for the scapegoat artist to tell me
the same old thing

Running out of ink
Bleeding while you cry
The kitchen sink
wash and dry

There's something cool about the way
you refrain like sounding out your attention
Now I've got to borrow a habit
bought a pack and squared away

Finally, need to pray
Often you've got my attention
Are you the one I planned for next?

Every crime went unpunished
Maybe it's you who will bite your neck?

a temporary stay,
Getting away with the time you depend on
Are you so sure you can remind yourself?

Sounding out the words you depend on
deciding if its worth your life.

Finding time to think
Running out of time
The kitchen sink
the baby's crying
