The big blue sea

The big blue sea

A Poem by dukovan

I learned my lesson for the third time today.
Jesus is coming; I forgot how to pray

So I cleaned up my room and I brushed my teeth
And I prayed with you for the rest of the week

It's never enough, I hope you agree
and that is the difference as far as I see

I'm never so certain of much anything.
I was never as certain as I was that week.

It won't go like the ghost you want to
attach to your shadow and send to the moon

I'll see you smiling up there now and then
I've seen you smile, will I see you again?

Now I believe
anything

I don't know about faith, but its a round world
The globe on my mantel is spinning the girls

Out in the ocean, the fish in my head
swim through my veins, and start a new end

Where do I come from?
Where did I go?

How could we matter?
How did you know?

So don't overthink it; don't over grow

Here is garden, an equation to solve
a mystery woman and a blind man, absolved

Cracking my rib and waiting to die
who's side are you on, I'll wait my whole life.
